Default Dyno 402 T76GTQ ### in. Dyno Graph added Pics also

Well guys my new numbers are in. The car put down 644RWH and 743 RWT at 14 PSI. The AFR is 11.5 so it's a really safe tune. The Turbo is pretty much maxed out. It will not produce any more boost. We back the turbo back down to 80 percent so not to hurt the turbo and it put the numbers down above. With it maxed out at 100 percent it only put down about 10 to 15 in rwh and rwt. What do you guys think about this? Dyno graph added http://video.ls1tech.com/video/f000a...6a0142821c.htm

Nice #'s!! Turbo is a little small for the cubes, but great nonetheless!

Thanks Ben looking forward to driving it for while. We drove 1700 miles round trip in 48 hours. Having trouble fouling plugs on street tho. Need hotter plugs. I am running Autolite 3934 but fouls plugs driving around. The local parts store only cars one step hotter 3935. Was really wanting two steps hotter. Will try the 3935 and see if it works for now.

what did you do about your exhaust situation that you had with the 347 setup?
do you think the log style kit is the reason its maxed out and not the T76? i always heard that log style was at the limits around 650 or so?
no matter what though I bet its fun as hell to rip around in.

I am sure it's not the tune. We ran several tests. Blocked off wastgate and let free spool. The turbo would not make more than 15psi.

That motor is too big for that turbo and that turbo kit. You could have made much more power with a smaller ci motor. I'd be interested in backpressure numbers.

really don't think the kit is too small and yes I will go bigger later I will post dyno graph soon. The numbers were on the way to go out the roof. I will probally go with a T88 of some sort.

Yep Yep... thats what i keep telling other people trying to run a 76mm turbo with a 408..... i was maxed with my 370 with a GT42-76 at 14psi......

Get an S88 on there man and see what she can do......

I'm sorta' confused by results like this. I'm running a T76GTS on a 388 at 19 psi and I've been as high as 22 psi with it. Also, I've been well over 700 rwhp through an A3. And, I haven't tried blocking off the wastegate. Hmmm. . .

If you run the numbers, you'll see a 76 is too small for that size motor. An 88 is closer, a 91.5 is even better "by the book." In the real world, a 76 is too small for that size motor

No offense Kyle, but a GT42-76 (especially with the optional T6 housing) will definitely provide more airflow than a T4 T76 Q trim... plus the arguement was rearmount verse frontmount in the other thread

Even I was the first person to post that this turbo was too small

You getting a new it when ya get the 88? I am fairly sure a 88 wont fit with that kit without some major work...

I dont doubt the GT42-76 w/ a T6 falnge will out flow that 76... i had one with a T6 flange and she was out of steam by 14 psi... im jost posting up my .02..... we will see as time goes along with the STS 76's on a 408....
