Well i hope soo... I think the frame has to be notched big time to fit the 4" 90degree elbow on top of the F1R.

i would vote for the f1c because of the step up ratio.... and it only flows 150cfm less... a 7.625 CP with a 4.1BP spun to 6700 yields about 71k impellar speed... i think the max is 74... thats about as high as you would want to go any ways...

but im sure the F1R is no slouch either have fun with that monster

Bob does the new C5 Hi-Output kit offer a F1C as an option?
Here it is.

I'm pretty sure the F1C/R needs a 4.5" elbow. I'm between deciding on a F1A or F1C myself..

Its a shame ATI doesnt offer an upgrade from a D-1SC to an F1C or F1R.

How would ATI do that? The F series blowers utilize a completely different transmission which requires a different case. Not to mention that the F1C and F1R utilize a 9.75" diameter volute. I'm afraid there wouldn't be anything to save from the D1SC.

A good idea would be selling those D-1SC's as preowned cetrified blowers....

That would give an option for lower prices on ATI kits if new coming customers opt for it.

Just proposing a new business idea that ATI can implement to attract even more business.

Users wanting to upgrade have had pretty good luck selling their headunits on eBay and forums such as this. They carry a pretty good resale value.

Are there any places that will let you finance the ati through them? For me it is a hard decision for me between the sts and the ati

Not that I know of. You would save money by financing the kit through a credit union, or a bank. Bob

Not to hijack this post but it looks like I will be selling my like new F1R headunit
(less than 50 dyno miles - full polish)

PM me if you interested.

BTW go with the F1R it's more effecient and will boost and put power in sooner.

Does the F1C give up anyhting to the D1C on the bottom end? It looks pretty good on paper and I really like the step up. This would allow me to run a bigger pulley on my C5 and keep the 6 rib and not worry about belt slip.

Anderick should be able to answer that for you. I haven't tried the F1C yet, though I may be real soon. Bob

No, it makes more low end airflow than the D1SC.
