Compression Ratio for Turbo?

Default Compression Ratio for Turbo?

Would a 9.5:1 compression ratio be good for a turbocharged set-up or is that to high? I plan to run about 15psi of boost - Max

what CID is the block, is it forged, IRON? Are you planning on running Race gas or that on pump? Many Variables to take into consideration. Im no expert of course, still learning as well. GL and you will for sure find answers in this Forum, you just need to post a little more data to go off of.

if u wana run 15psi on pump, i say no more that 8.5. you wont be able to feel a difference

like to dig this one up to have new info on this matter.

was wondering about this as well. im thinking using 317 heads with .040 gaskets with my stock 5.7L. on a CR calculator this gives me 9.7 SCR.
Is this a good CR for a rear mounted turbo build with 10lbs in mind?

Also, how does a slightly larger cam change the CR? Static or Dynamic? thinking of using a TSP 224R cam for myslef but think of it as an example.

many people have ran that compression with up to 15psi On pump gas. But as others have said, too many variables to take into consideration for a more accurate response

that makes me feel alittle better. im not going past 10psi myself, trying to keep the power under 600hp. im going to be running a singe Racetronix so im limited to fuel delivery... for now lol. I know theres alot of variables and what if's, just trying to narrow down the variables a little.

i'll be going past 10 psi but ill be less than 20 psi. im going to try and hit 15-18lbs, or untill i hit 700rwhp lol
