I think I'll just stick to the test and tune shootouts.

John, your car would be legal for the NSCA Limited Street class. Its the true 10.5 class that allows only 4 specific turbos. GT47-88 is one of them.

I'm building around this class for now

I dont even know if this is possible to say... But it would be awesome to see some new class having to do with late model EFI technology in some way or another. Looking at all the cars on this forum, there would almost be enough to do that, let alone all the modular guys etc....

John I'm going to try to put together 2-3 races together for the 07 season, running at the RSD events. Pre-paid entry for a 16 car field. Cars must be street legal, no plastic windows ect.. Any ci or turbo size is welcome, air to air only. Cars must have a interior, two seats. AND to level the field a 28"-10.5 tire! No wheelie bars, any nitrous combos are welcome. Something along those lines. 100% payback! Fbodys only! What do you think?

I will be running the Milan All Motor Class next year, hoping to be competetive in the toughest class out there. Finished 4th overall in Outlaw 10.5 this year with my all motor LS1 so we will see.

Actually limiting the IC would be a good idea to keep the 'real' race cars out if that was your plan, just make A2W OK as long as its all under the hood.

With those rules you will be lucky to get 8 cars. People who travel to race are racing race cars.

Probably not 16 eight second F-bodies running at the same time in the whole country to make that field if you think about it. But the fastest car doesnt always win except on the internet

As with the now defunct LS1tech series people will never agree, best just to post up some simple rules and a date/place and not even discuss it too much

Yea, there's plenty of race car classes. I'm trying to set up a race for those who still drive the cars on the street. The reason I went with twins, for the street, staying on a 10.5 non w not mini tubbed, for the street. Air to air for the street. Stock fuel tank with all working guages, for the street. 3450lbs= full interior, cd player, all glass, wipers. I would have no problem going on a 100+ mile cruise.

The problem is that nobody has a class to fit that type of car. So that's what I'm trying to do. Just make a class to have cars that are some what close it et to race for fun -small money. It beats just making time runs all day!

KP your probably right, but I was hoping between nitrous, supercharger and turbo I could come up with 16 eight second cars?

who would even compete with you? tuffls1, psj if he gets his bug's woked out. and thats it! at least thats all i can think of. so i wouldnt expect more than 5-6 cars to show up like last time

Like I said i dont think there are 16 eight second NA or power adder LS1 cars running all at the same time in the whole country yet.

It would really be nice to have a place to race for LS1 f-bodies but it wont happen. Years ago (pre internet) half the fun was going to the track and seeing what everyone's car ran. You never knew what the car you were lining up next to is going to run and it was a lot of fun. Now you pretty much know what everyone has and what they are running so why even bother going to the track knowing you are going to get beat lol.

I really think the answer is to run in a well structured high profile series like NMCA if you want to really race and build a car to fit their rules. Everyone wants a class for their own car, if you cant get 100 any second cars to show up at a well advertised race via a car forum with 77K members there is something wrong
