what about the safety equipment on these cars? i dont see to many people putting engine diapers on their street cars to go to the track 3,4,5 times a year? or would this be a no sanctioned racing event? i will have a t91 set-up next year in a full street car, and am alittle concered about all the new safety **** coming out, just to run the car legally a few times a year.i mean this is a real driver not a race only deal.

This has become a popular event to run, might copy the rules from it. They have one similar to what you are talking about. A mustang cleaned house all year, running 5.1's

I will be running the same, aswell as any limited street race I can make it to on the east coast.

i like the rules proposed... however, and this is my .02 centavos.... i think your limiting yourself to only running fbodies. I understand the reason behind it, but you might get a bigger, healthier turnout if you included different setup's. All 10.5 cars. "street-trim" A/C anyone?! but maybe add a few fox's or imports to level the playing field.
IT should still be fun, not a serious outing... anyone getting stupid is booted!!
Now if only i had racers like this down here in south florida to make it an event like this?

A/C is over rated and doesnt make a car a ""Street Car""
Driving it everyday in what ever weather does that.......
Yes i do that......
