I was wondering what racing classes the more active drag racers are hitting in 2007?

Doesn't seem like any of the NMCA classes are turbo friendly for 10.5 cars. Are they running a drag radial class in 2007?

seem like a lot of people are crying about turbo cars wanting to give them they own class. thats just like see all corvettes race against eachother. i like to see different cars go against diferent cars. But its nice to know a lot of people are scared of turbo cars every since the grand national

Next year I am Hoping to move out of "Braket 1" in the PSCA series. Maybe True Street/Heavy Street.

seems like drag radial and heavy street had a lot more racers than last year at the World Street Nationals in Orlando.

We were building our car for the LS1Tech races (outlaw) before they got scrapped. We will be running drag radial if we ever get the car done

Matt, I was not referring to Super Street 10.5W, that class allows turbos... But it's the only class I see listed:

john, they allow a turbo in street race but the rules for them are almost to a point to where you have to change some stuff on a convential drag radial car for that class. maximum exhaust size of 4" on a turbo that must split to dual exhaust..... etc.

Oops you are right, it allows a 72mm turbo in that class.

I'm planning to try some 10.5 Super / Pro Street races to see how I do. Whatever the non-electronics class is at the track I go to. And I'm also going to try an open road race - 120 mph target / 140mph tech speed. And of course I'll do some Car Club bracket racing.

I was thinking about street race but 3450lbs with a max of 11.5x28 ET streets or 275 BFG or Nitto drag radials I dunno. Cars will probably in the 8s next year, I would have to swap heads, move some weight from the front to rear, do something about a dual exhaust and I could probably qualify.
