good deal with it being a pulley...

my car, and why I thought it was gonna be a clutch:
http://www.lt1.org/other/media/broke.mpg

the clutch looked perfect from the outside... I split the center hub from the outside without losing any pieces in the bellhousing.

As for the brakes, I have no idea...

Ive got a line lock, but that isnt the issue cause the brake pressure comes on, then backs off back to normal again, so I dont think that would be it.

My friend thinks it might be air in the system that just needs to be bled out, so he's gonna work on it during the day today while im at work.

Air in the system would make the brakes feel spongy and not stop well. How long did you drive it? If the rotors got rusted up you might just need to drive it more till they loosen up? If that doesn't work, look through all the lines looking for kinks, take the wheels off and rotate the hubs to check for binding.

Good Luck, I hope you find this problem quicker than the last one.

lol, ya my friend is gonna start by trying to disconnect the line lock to make sure thats not causing it.

Then he will bleed all four and make sure they look ok with no air.

We drove it maybe 3/4 of a mile total before driving it back into the garage.

I just got to the point that I was so fed up with something breaking every 20 minutes that it was no longer a priority.

Trust me, I love my car, but if I dont have any help to do it, my mechanically declined *** aint gonna be able to fix it alone, lol.

Im glad it turned out to be something small. So keep an eye out for a video against my buddies 06 srt10 Snake soon as we get the brakes fixed, lol.

Man, the car was ******* pulling HARD last night. Im surprised I had traction though...

Ty, we definately need to check and make sure all plugs are in (that plug wire was kinda iffy...)

But man, Im sooooo glad the car is back up and running.

We "supposably" have some bad *** races lined up tonight.

1. 402 D1 c5
2. heads/cam 200 shot 2nd gen viper
3. 06 srt10 snake (my buddy Cj)
4. heads/cam 150 shot c6
5. Possibly will come... forged 346 76gts camaro

Hopefully everyone can come through tonight so we can have some good footage.

Oh, and thank you again for the line lock suggestion. I'll have to figure out why it isnt working properly.

Looks like it was the line lock that was the issue.

Got the car up and running, only the 06 srt10 made it out.

I got some video footage of the race, but for some reason it wont play on my workstation at work. Ive got the files I can email to someone if they wanna host it somewhere...

It was ugly from the get go, lol.

Congrats on getting everything worked out, glad it was a simple idler pulley problem and not something more serious, it sounded awful. I bet that bitch was turning some serious revs at 130mph and decided to just give up, LOL !

Cheers,

Hahah, no doubt.

after we went racing again last night, there started making another wierd noise, we think the 16 dollar pulley is going out already, lol.

Its wierd, it makes this metallic sounding noise when the car is put under load, but when your not in gear it goes away. It did this for like 15 minutes and then went away, so Im not sure what it could be.
