LT1 Turbo Build PT.2 S400 Turbo 396ci's....
#62
98Turb, found a bunch of stuff that would lead to boost issues. Glad I pulled everything off. My cat was melted nearly solid. Took about an hour of drilling it out to remove all the catalytic substrate. The new carbon gaskets that I bought for my truck manifold flanges burnt up LOL, causing two leaks and my WG clamp was leaking. Bought a new heavy duty clamp to fix the flimsy Tial clamp issue.
Frank, yep I definately want to see your new house, and more importantly the fight
Realquick, no respect I tell ya

Nick, The local coaters wanted an arm and a leg to do our stuff. FX really came through. Looks great almost don't want to put it on the car now.
Kyle, hell yeah I hope to finally appreciate the awesomeness of a turbo...if not the car will be SOLD!!!! Did you check my post in the admin forum....girl bro...girl...

Nick me and my bro were going to use the local coaters, but man it would've been over a grand for our set ups for the same coating and prep
Glad we went with your Local guys, they took care of us in every aspect...quality, top notch customer service and pricing.
Hope everyone that needs coating here on 'tech goes through FX coating, they won't be disappointed

some more...
as you can see we're finally almost done! We have just a few little things to do and hopefully we can get this biatch fired up this weekend! We have to run the oil feed line (just waiting for a reducer), run the vacuum lines for the wastegate, boost gauge, blow off valve, and boost controller. Finish the intake pipe to throttle body, mount vacuum block, etc...You know the little things.

I installed all new sensors, repaired some wiring, installed new injector o-rings, fuel pressure regulator, cleaned the injectors, 02 sensors, knock sensor, lubed front end, and installed new tie rod ends. This thing has been sitting so long and most the sensors were original, that I decided it was probably best to replace them all. All those damn sensors are expensive!

Im very interested if anyone has got the express van PCM to work with our LT1's yet? I was following a thread about it, but it just kinda lost steam. Seemed promising...
