Thanks Jon! Hopefully it performs alright. Im just a little worried about how low we had to set the radiator down in there. That S400 is a biggie...

FAL-220s or PN 400-220 from jegs for the puller fans(2500cfm)

And a griffin radiator as thin as we could go so the electric fans will actually be able to pull through the core. 3.0's are just to thick for electric fans/daily drivers.

GRI-1-45242-X for 169 from summit.

Should cool well.

Jon

just find a clever spot where you coulf fit a radiator.. and make it fit however you can think. Most common is cutting top core suppost out and welding a piece of square stock in like i did. There are sooooo many different ways i have seen it done tho.

We were forced to cut the upper and lower supports, the S400 is that big and the room is that tight on the damn LT1's The turbo simply could not get any closer to the block than its sitting now. We have the lowest profile fans, and a thin 2.5 radiator and the clearance between the fans and compressor housing is just at about a 1/8. The exhaust housing clears the fans BIG TIME.

I was hoping Eric would post more pics of the work I did to the support, but I guess he wasn't too thrilled with it. I have the option to move the radiator up about 1.5 inches if it sits to low as it is....before the filler neck/cap hits the bottom of the hood.

Its very clean looking and I was able to keep the hood latch, we thought that we might have to pin the hood. The abs sensor can be remounted as well, and a radiator shroud is a easy bolt on too, but we have to make one.

We were fighting with the DP and getting it hung on sunday when I ran out of time and had to go home. All that needs to be done to complete the radiator area is, he has to drill two holes, bend a piece of 18 gauge steel to form a radiator shroud/retention bracket and drill two holes in that. But other than that the new support is painted and the radiator is in.

If you go with a turbo that is physically smaller than you will not have to go to the extremes we did to make it fit.

Hey, I'll get some pics for you soon. My brother is such a wierdo! I like the way it all came out. My main concerns are/were how low the new support sits and not being able to latch the hood. But the hood now is a none issue. And the way the radiator sits, I'll give her a try that way and if we need to raise it up, then no big deal. Youre dork, lil bro! I'll go through my pics now and see if I have any other ones I can send you. I havent taken any of it since we last worked on it. Just wanted to get home.

PT88 looks to be smaller than the S400 so you'll be in a better spot than us.

Meh Bro, I'm a bit put off....broken car, broken spirit sorta thing

Did you put together an Fquick page yet? Hurry up.
