Default Twin Turbo Dyno Video

We recently finished a customer vehicle with our new Twin Turbo street system.

system details- https://ls1tech.com/forums/forced-induction/537009-new-twin-turbo-system-pics.html

video- http://www.ls1speed.com/movies/820tt.wmv

The engine is our 370ci sportsman shortblock, AFR 225 heads, 225/225 113lsa cam, stock throttle body/LS6 intake. T400 trans, 12-bolt rearend w/3.73's (soon to be changed to 3.08's).

This is our new twin turbo system that retains all stock accessories in their original location. Turbos are PT67 P-trim, which as we found are actually physically longer than the GT35R's which caused some clearance issues with the motor mount stands on the K-member. (grinding for clearance was necessary). Dyno runs were also made through a dual 2.5in exhaust exiting at the rear bumper. (it was on the car previously and the customer wanted to keep it).

I tuned it with HP Tuners 3-bar operating system. Injectors are 60lb edge injectors @72psi base pressure.

It made 520rwhp @ 8psi boost and 820rwhp @21psi boost. Pulls were made to 7100rpm. Iat's reached 85 deg at 7,100 and 21psi boost.

All in all we are very pleased with the results considering the cars streetability is not compromised. Should easily be good for 900+rwhp in a 6-speed car.

That's awesome... What will he run on the street for pumpgas? Or is it some sort of staged injection setup?

which turbos are better? the 67's right? how much grinding did you have to do? will this not work on a stock k member at all?

I would feel comfortable with around 12psi/625rwhp on 93 octane. Could probably get away with more but I think good fuel is cheap insurance.

The customer wanted a T400 because of cost and reliability. It should cruise fine on the hwy with 3.08 gears.

As far as clearancing, the head of the passenger side motor mount bolt had to be ground flush, and a small section of the top of the motor mount bracket had to be clearanced. The GT35R's fit much better. As to which turbos are better, the GT35R's have a 61mm compressor wheel and the PT67's have a 67mm compressor wheel. The 67's should be capable of a bit more power but I won't know until we run a similar combination with the GT35R's.

The turbo system will absolutely not work with the stock K-member.
