I call BS on the stats of this thread! I looked at another post on Tech about the ages of most people here. The majority of yall on here are younger than 25ish. I cant believe that many people on here have or have had a 500 horsepower car. It looks like the majority of the cars on here run 12's to 13's. Now there is nothing wrong with that as we all started with something a lot slower! Hell my first z28 ran 17.3's but the shift kit made everyone who didnt know me well think that it was fast as hell!

I just dont believe that the majority of the people on this site have or have had a 500 horsepower car!

nowadays its a lot easier to make 500 hp

20 years ago it was a pita to get 500 hp on the street , now its childs play .

You cant even step out on the streets of orlando with out 800 today .

The majority of the Fuelslut car club is under 25 and 75% of the members are over 500 hp .

Exactly what I was thinking.

The majority of the people in this site may be under 30 lets say. But the majority of the majority stay in the newbie tech section, external section, N20 section, street kill section, ect. It's usually the slightly older crowd with a little more money to spend that read, post and hang out in the FI section, LS1 internal section, LS7 internal section, ect.

So I believe a lot of folks here in the FI section have had 500 HP + cars

The highest horsepower car before owning my current TA was a Honda Civic DX bone stock. That should give you guys some clue as to how EVEN worse it was before along my dark path of car ownership... I'm 29 sadly... But I think I did alright... Was just waiting for the RIGHT car, you know? And for money to present itself needless to say.

I'm 29... I went 11.4xx in a '75 11 years ago off the bottle, and that car had a 200HP shot that was used a good bit on the street. I went through 5 SBCs in that car in 3 years and then parted it out for college.

I'm just getting back in the game now

I had 500+ out of a 427 in a shitty old truck when I was 16, nothing like a solid lifter/3800 stall for your daily driver, but gas was a buck then..

Here is my first 'real' hotrod, ran 11.30s on motor which was a pretty fast car back then. Had a 396 with a 454 crank, a 427 the hard way. I bet I had about 1800.00 in the whole car

Now I spend about 1800 to go to the track a few times if nothing breaks
