In Nov. of 05 I blew my stock motor waxing a Cobra at the track... At that time the plan was to have a new motor built for boost, but keep things relatively close to the same with the exception of more boost anyway.

Well one thing led to another and I took it off the road about 4 months ago at the 900 mile mark with the new 383.

Now the car has a braked TH400, Vig 4000 stall, ac&ps delete, abs/tcs delete, Stenod 6pt roll bars, spooled 9" from DLS, BMR trak pak, Madman Offset LCA's, Spohn panhard rod, Spohn Drag sway bar, QA1 double adj front shocks and single adj. rears, 300# front springs, weight saving mods here and there, 28X10.5-15 ET Drags, 15X10 and 15X4.5" Prostars, 2step box, Versa Fueler, 75# inj, and were going to max out the D1sc on race gas.

Should be on the dyno by the middle of next month at the latest! I cant wait to see what she does at BMP.

My build is going nicely (https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=596107). Dont know when its going to be done though. Sucks because now i have a new problem, Car was hit while it was parked outside the shop . Guy scuffed the rear bumper and the tailight. luckily all the information was gathered for me when i got there and i filed my claim. Doesnt look like there is a lot of damage, just looks like it needs to be re painted which is good. The guy was nice and he was sorry and said everything would get taken care of smoothly. Just one more thing to add to the headache

My setup is going slowly by choice but going well.

Motor is fully forged/blueprinted/balanced 348 short block, 208/230 .545/.579 121LSA with LS6 intake and all the other goodies. T70 turbo/ptrim wheel on a custom front mount with FMIC, 60# injectors, fast fuel rails, new feed, stock feed used as a return, twin 225lph intake fuel pumps and regulartor. Suspension has been done for a long time outside of a 6pt roll cage(going to be new), new torque arm and the stock springs. 12 bolt with 373s/33spline,girld/posi,etc. Rotors from Wholesale direct(drilled/slotted) with hawk pads and stainless steel brake lines. The car is currently at Extreme Performance and should be done sometime this spring.

Car is made to go xcountry, drag racing and road racing. I enjoy that I can do anything I want with it and it performs all the way around.

last night I tested out my new yank 3800 stall. Its kinda similar to how KP's car runs, its ok to drive around town but mash the throttle and it comes up to 5,000 rpm. Its kickass.

Now i gotta get this fuel press problem taken care of and I'll be in good shape. (for now)

Haven't had time to work on my car due to trying to get all my customers cars done before the track opens, but I've done a lot of thinking about my project.

I was going to build a single turbo drag radial car, but now I think im just going to go ahead and 3/4 chassis the car and run outlaw 10.5 with the 98 camaro I have stripped down and ready for cage work. It will be an all aluminum small block with twin 88's. I gotta run 6.80's to be competitive. Wish me luck!

got my fuel press problem solved , added the BAP, retuned , got good fuel press and adjusted shift points. Car went up to 14 lbs in the cold air the other night, I punched it from a roll on I-4 and the car leaped forward it was awesome. Can only imagine if I had a bigger blower and spray.

I am now saving for wet shot and will have it done by spring time. hopefully sooner, I want to get a set of big n littles for a sinister look.

Promod i say build a drag radial car, that is the most exciting class out there.

I agree with it being the most exciting, but the way I would build the car, It would almost cost about the same to go ahead and 3/4 it. Plus I can build a 3/4 chassis faster.

From a motor stand point, Its almost the same engine, just twin 88's instead of a 106 or 114 so that cost isnt much more.

The local drag radial stuff is run on friday nights with the regular street cars, the outlaw stuff is run on saturdays where the track prep is way better, and the payout is twice as much.

Its a hard decision. I love drag radial.

My car is coming along. I pulled it out of the fab shop I had it at for the cage and rearend but it will be done soon. We have been waiting on a few parts to finish my engine up but so far everything looks really promising for the 1000+ rear wheel horse pulls. Now if my driveline was done I'd be really excited.
