Default Procharger heads?

ok guys i am goign to have slp long tubes with ory, and loud mouth 1 exhaust. next year i want to go heads and cam an i was going to buy the trex cam and patriot stage 3 6.0 liter heads. i ask this on the fi section becasue after that i want a procharger d1 and fmi and i plan on a 383 or 402 forged stroker engine. Would these heads be adequate and could i just swap the heads and cam over to the new bigger short block. thanks alot. And also i heard the fast intake isnt very good under boost if this is true which one is good? thanx guys

The stage 3 heads will be soggy with your 346, even in forced induction form.
The parts will indeed swap over to the larger block with no problems.
Most prefer using the LS6 intake over the FAST intakes. A one piece intake such as the LS6 intake has fewer chances of a vacuum leak. Bob

so what heads if any would work well on a 346 and a bigger cube lsx engine, or should i jsut save for a while and buy heads that work well ona 346 in fI applications then jhsut sell those and buy different ones when i upgrade to a larger CI engine down the road. And you guyy are teh ones that switche dme form twin turbo to a procharger again its a bit cheaper and ma more realistic goal considering im only 20. you guys ahve built some nast cars. i love how you ahve integrated a FMI with the one kit you sell when ium fianlly ready in like 2 years im goign to buy my kit through you guys.

The patriot stage 2 heads work amazingly well. We use them on alot of the 346/382 builds.

Im realy looking for a head that will work good while the car is jsut heads cam and intake but will also support arouns 700 to 800 hp on the larger engine when im able to run more booost on teh forged shrot block.

Get the PATRIOTS 225 72 cc LQ9 as they will still shine on top, be decent in the midrange (Maybe not optimal but fine) and have room to put on your bigger motor. Other options are DARTS 225 or AFR 225s!

Bob, I just happen to see this thread and I think me and z28adiction got the same goal. I'm thinking about going forged bottom end for my 99 z28, and I've been shopping arround internet for rotating assembly. Until I saw you're website last night and I saw this:

Now I think I'm just gonna have to go w/ ZL 402 instead of forged 346. A little more but its ok just save a little more money and I can get it w/ matching H/C package. I would like to go AFR 225 w/ Ca emission legal cam. Any other suggestions?

The Lingenfelter GT2-3 camshaft would be a good choice for you living in California. We used this camshaft in this Corvette.

Speaking of cam shafts i love how the Trex cam shaft sounds, and its performance NA seems to be very good. I was jut wondering if this cam would work with a d1/f1 blower or is it not teh greatest blower cam?

Wow i just found the right up of your shrot block bob not bad at all I know its hard to say but with your d1 kit and that short block with patriot stage 3 heads and your D1 FMI kit and las6 intake would around 800 hp be possible? And what would the total of that be? thanks

I'm just going for a forged rods and pistons.I will reuse my stock crank and no need to get a new one, I'm not up to 1000HP high 6 is good enough for me. But how about the compression ratio should I go stock compression or low compression? And if you can provide me the specs plz

I have done a lot of research of a good middle ground for compression ratio on a forged stock cubed LS1/6 motor running a D1SC, and 9:5 to 1 would be good and make BIG POWER and anywhere within the range of 9:2 to 1 to 9:7 to 1 you will be good to go since I see you are not looking to make INSANE power or HUGE BOOST and a little higher compression will make more power and be very healthy feeling off the boost also stop light to stop light!
