Check out the STS kit we installed on this Camaro SS. I feel that you will have much fewer problems with an ATI ProCharger. Take a look at all the changes we did to the STS kit, and you can see why. Just my opinion... Bob

not fooled 1 bit, i did nickle and dime it, but im not even close to the end, i sitll have another 1.5 to 2psi left, that would put me in the 550+rwhp with better gas milage that a procharged set up

i spent around 6500, but that includes 2 tunes, 1 good and 1 bad($600 altogether) and fixing little problems that my USED kit came with

the sts kit is a good kit IMO for just the 5psi guys, but if you plan on going more, it will get expensive. bought the kit for 3200, FMIC for 970, fule pump and injectors for 300(both installed) and recently a custom cam+springs+rods installed for 968,2 tunes, 1 good and 1 bad($600 altogether) new BOV for 200, exhaust wrapp and special i pipe and over axle pipe delete for 320

8psi on turbo > 8psi on supercharger. FMIC's are made for both...either one will give you comparable times at the track I would think, but I'm guessing the turbo would be better overall.

The STS does require some fabrication so if you buy it, know that going into the deal. Wrapping the exhaust helps (my next mod in addition to more boost).

If you have nothing done to your car right now, I would suggest a package deal through TRT...(fuel system, guages, FMIC, etc all included minus the tune).

If you go for the procharger, EPP sells some package kits I believe...all inclusive of what you need to bolt on the car and go minus the tune of course.

I had my sts since 04 and my only prob was a check valve (20$) and a turbo that was replace for free!!!! by TRT. Other than that I love it. When u do it over build it. go large on injectors bigger fuel pumps and bigger turbo. My goals are 700+ to the ground. I have raced plenty of cobras and 4 ati procharged cars, Break boosting is somthing supercharged cars cant do and I kill them on the hit everytime with less power.

I bought a D1SC kit, a cam, a racetronix kit and easily covered your hp with an extra 140rwhp. I ran on 91 octane all day as well.

Also with how simple the D1 was to install it should be a no-brainer.

Simple engine load spools the turbo at normal driving your in vacum. Dont do this often its bad on ypur breaks and clutch. What I do when some one wants to roll race at 50 or so I put it in second and have the revs up around 4k (3.73) gears I press the breaks slightly as i press the gas you will hear the turbo spool up. It takes some skill tho! I race a 06 cobra with a KB pulley and full bolt ons to day he always said he will get the jump because sts are so laggy But I break boosted to 4 psi and Im only running 5.5 or .8 some times and left him he said he will post a vid later but I dont belive him But think of it like nitrous with out the system

Break boosting is nothing more than putting a load on the car not easy todo with a stick but cake with an auto. In fact it can be compared to a stall in the auto. I can do the same thing with my D1SC and bring up the boost but with the 3.4 pulley on there I am seeing almost 10psi at 2600 rpms anyway and it just continues to climb with rpms too 16psi.

I still don't see any e.t.s from owners of each system.
