im a little confused though. I was gonna score a 3 series carrier with 3.31 gears.
You can get a 3.73 in a thin gear made for a 4 series.

Not to hijack this thread, but i'm intersted in it for a different reason. I"m starting my twin turbo build her ein the next week or so, and i'm looking to change out the gears in my Moser 12 bolt..... I, on the other hand, won't be using my car as a track car, and it will see 99% street use... So i'm looking for suggestions on what to use... currently have 4:10 ratio and after looking on the Moser webiste, my only options are 3:42 or 3:08 (i actually sorta wanted 3:23)... what do you guys suggest? (can i get a general 3:23 gear for a 12 bolt, or should i stick with Moser gears?)
edit: my car is an M6

you most likely have a 4 series carrier. This means that you could only go down to a 3.73. If you wanted to change your carrier you could run any gear.
you can buy a set of gears from someone like jegs or summit, however im not too sure how the gears moser sells are in comparison to something like a richmond that jegs or summit sells.
