Default new toys :D ( pics )

Wooohoooo, some new toys

Exhausts made in the UK by a company OJZ Engineering.

New collector

New left 2" header

New right side header. I think plug changes on cyl 6 and 8 are going to be a nightmare here...... I had to make new leads and re-route them. Space is tight though, so cant be helped.

New Textralia Exo-Skel from Pete @ Textralia in Oz

New 30T yoke

To go with my cryo'd fully built,Viper Mainshafted T56 from Joe & Amber at www.sixspeedsinc.om Also with shorter 5th and 6th gears

And my new 1.75 RR Jesel's from Dave at Canadian Performance ( SLED28 )

Wont be fitting the rockers for a while yet.

Hoping to have the car out this weekend, with everything else fitting and running. Although it will be a crappy track. Just for some fun in the new yearfor my first time out.
Also finally have my new 3.27 gears installed too, which should hopefully help my traps.

It's like Xmas in March! Cool stuff - I'll look forward to seeing how your performance changes. The shorter 5th and 6th should be useful for your car as well...

Whats OLSD ??

If the collectors prove troublesome, I'll just lift the O2 up to no 7 tube instead. I think with some decent sealer they should be fine though.

I only run my wideband, no regular O2's

Noice. 1.5 RR's? Stock are 1.7 for the LSx.

What gears are you running now?

Yup, typo. Now corrected.

1.75's. Lift was 0.581/0.591 with the 1.7 YT's. I just wanted a little more lift.

Chuntington101....

Just want to go faster than last year. It wont happen this weekend though.

Do those discs in the clutch work all at one time?

Yea, wideband was useless in the collector, more so then I thought it would be. Just tuned by the plugs/EGTs and eventually swapped headers. They were merge collectors and they only welded them around the outside, I didnt realize that they werent fully welded at first and it drove me crazy when the widebands were showing 15:1 a/f and the car was pouring out black smoke

Maybe stevies will have a tighter fit..

PSJ...was 3.55, now 3.27

Header supplier says the tube bits are tapered, so should seal ok. But they did suggest using some copper base silicone as well. Will need to check if its O2 sensor friendly first....NTK's are too damn expensive.

I just started the car up a few mins ago. It runs fine, and is blowing out at the collector. Not real bad though. Cant do too much, as its 1am here. Dont want to annoy the neighbours too much
Wideband at idle doesnt appear too bad...so far anyway.

I havent measured the header flanges, but I'd guess at circa 12mm

Apparently the rockers just bolt on, but some minor relieving is required on the valve covers.
I am tempted by some of Nates valve covers.......still undecided. Its money that looks nice, but wont make it go any faster . And will only cause more hassle having to move the coils.

I dont mind hassle, if it makes me go faster...

A 9 was in the car already..I just didnt have time to get it. Hopefully it should be easier to achieve with these bits...
But as I say, the track wont allow it this weekend. Nowhere near grippy enough.

Still awaiting a new driveshaft though.....not quite sure whats happening there ? email correspondence seems difficult, even though Im sure they got the go ahead from me.

As for the clutch and box...will be able to give a better report after this weekend. Car isnt in a position to be driven yet.

I have "driven" it through the gears on axle stands though.... But as its a brand new clutch, and fully rebuilt trans and not actually moved under its own steam, I think its too early to pass judgement.

Clutch does look kinda cool though
