stock internals vs. boost

Stock bottom end(not incl. rear end) can safely handle how much boost?

i dont think its the amount of boost but rather the amount of hp. mine is at 503 with 5.5 psi

Depends on AF ratios you run, as well as compression of course and advance. If you can get the right combo, and less-restrictive heads ("less boost") then you'll be pumpin out decent numbers like ^

You're right. I guess my question should've been: how much hp can stock bottom end handle?

the safer you keep everything in check with the stock bottom end, the longer it'll survive my friend

Got a friend running 10.20 @ 133 in a 3600lb car, stock internals, but it does have rod bolts. I'd say the stock interals are good for around 700-750 rwhp if you know what you are doing.

I lost my stock motor to rod bolt stretch after 15k miles of 14+ psi and 600+ rwhp.

I hear that its all in the tune. Detonation will be a killer so it is wise to take out some insurance in the form of a bottle of Torco with every fuel fillup, an alky kit & a boost-a-pump amongst others. I decided to upgrade to a high perf fuel & oil pump with a dual roller chain also. Will this guarantee my stock bottom end will last....NO......but it is insurance.
