:whotheFknows:

I'd like my car (364ci) to be "efficient", in a sense that the power curve goes straight up until my desired red line. My T76gts (.96ar) would start choking at ~5800rpms at only 14-15psi of boost. My car is tuned by Rick at Synergy and he tunes it on the street. Then just for fun more than anything, I do a couple pulls at a local dyno-dynamics dyno. The owner of the shop says it reads ~16% lower than a dyno-jet reading.

Who knows. Aside from the ST-80, I am also switching to AFR heads and an AFR cam. 20 psi sounds like it would be fun!!!!

Wow! Those are some nice upgrades for sure! Lookin forward to your new dyno graph on the race gas. Do you put pump in and use the same tune with less boost for the street?

Ancient Chinese secret my son. jk I am just gonna fill it with 104 for the race and boost 15--20 psi (on the ST-80 I hope).......somewhere in there. It will just be easier to adjust my tune with no meth kit. But after the race I am having an Alkycontrol kit put on with twin nozzles. Then it will be tuned for pump 91, lots of meth, and ~15psi for the street, and surely some track time. Tuning for higher boost is a hop skip and a jump

Pics of the new "freshening up" will begin to be posted Tuesday night!

Jose has some new raw castings coming in the next week. He is going to test them and see if they will pass our strict machining requirements.

Kyle only 2 prototype units were built. They were even done with bore inserts I CNC'ed with threaded ends so the bore size can be swapped for different classes. Very cool, but not cost effective. Anyhow, I'm waiting for the new castings to arrive. If they don't pass our requirements I'm sending them back until they do. I won't have shXXy castings out there that can cause problems later for us. The prototype turbos that were made though
are complete animals!!!

Hey Doc,
I have a 402 w/ a Turbonetics 76mm with a .96 exh housing. Problem is it is only pushing 15psi max and it isn't enough. It feels o.k. but I know it should be alot faster. Do I need to upgrade to a t6 flange or do you guys have a t4 to fit the bill?

They make an ST-80 which is the most extreme T-4 turbo however upgrading to a large frame S series T-6 would be the way to go with the cubes you are running so that backpressure will not be an issue, but an ST-80 with the race cover would be a lot better than what you got.

I bet even with pushing 15 psi you have so much back pressure its not even funny and its sky rocketing your intake temps.......
Have you dynoed it at the current 15 psi level??
And then at 10 psi??? i bet there isnt a huge diff in power between those two.....

I would never put anything smaller then an 88mm turbo on anything over 400ci's.......

I was seeing back pressure issues with a GT42-76mm turbo (it has a T6 flange) with only 370ci's....
A T4 flanged 88 would help out alot, but up top your still going to have some flow/ back pressure issues...

I'm so horny for my ST-80 (w/ the 1.1 housing)!!!!! It should be at my door on Monday or Tuesday next week. I will take pics next to my Precision T76gts.

It also might get slapped on before I go to the track on July 8th!!!!! Putting the 10pt and a bunch of other goodies on so I don't get DQed!
