Default Inlet turbo ducting....PICS

Big thanks to DeltaT for selling a piece of this stuff on the cheap. Its good to 600*.its pretty flexible but has a steel cord wound inside it to keep its shape.had to do a little trimming but it went it pretty easily.before all there was was the filter right off the turbo so it sucked in HOT air.now look where the filter is at.my only concern is that the tubing is wormclamped straight to the turbo inlet.will it be ok like that or will it get too hot to have it touching?heres the pics

Glad it worked out, Nick. Looks like a clean install. How hot does that side of the turbo get?

I am pretty sure the cold side of the turbo doesn't go up to 600 degrees.

It's $125 for 4" x 10'. Nick got a killer deal while I was busy firing another round into my foot...

You're fine on temps, my GN came with flex hose clamped to the turbo inlet from the factory. Plenty of guys use it.

Looks to be the same material used by Procharger for the LT1 kits. I've had my blower create enough suction in there to cause it to rip away from the wire and collapse...

Not like it was right away or anything, the tubing was getting old and ratty looking at the time... Just food for thought

it'd be nice to see a data log of AIT's with the filter on and then with this setup on.

to see if it really makes a difference.

That stuff works great. I had it on my 67 for years when it had a Procharger on it.

Figured I could run my 4inch aluminum elbow off the blower and then attach this stuff to the 4inch filter and call it a day. Since its flexable It will make everything that much easier.

1 question though
ALL42154 Brake Duct Hose, 4" x 10', Black, 300 degrees
Suggested Selling Price: $66.99
ALL42155 Brake Duct Hose, 4" x 10', Orange, 550 degrees
Suggested Selling Price: $124.99

The degrees would not matter for the suckside of the Blower RIGHT so I could run the 300 degree 66.99 instead of the 124.99?
