Did it crack with the Zex system (Nitrous backfire?) or TT only? I'd use a LS6 factory intake. FAST intakes have broken at +20psi but not 11 psi.....

Mine has been running at 17psi for two years without a problem....I won't take it any higher though. If I were you, I would go with a LS6 for strength, possibly a LS2 or if you want to spend some $$ for bling....go with the Billet Bank Wilson manifold.

It shouldn't break like that at only 11psi. Is it possibly install error? I know they can crack if you don't change the bolts under the intake because the stock ones stick up to high. Or maybe something is getting pinned under the back side of the intake when you tighten it down. I know some years need to change the way the coolant lines are run back there. Just a couple ideas to check out.

did you swap the bolts? im with rufretic... looks like you didnt put the shorter bolts on and then tightened it down and stressed it. then the boost said CYA later where it was stressed

Can you explain that statement ?

Seeing less boost, is generally a sign of better airflow.....and the LS6 has been proven time and time again as a superb performer for FI applications.....whereas the FAST has not.

you could just put burst panels in your FAST if you wanna keep it. cheap insurance, all things considered....especially when compared to the price of the Wilson manifold.

i'd take the Wilson any day, but that'll also be the day i get some 6-figure income job

I have a fast and a bit worried. I wanted a 90mm tb too and the ls6 is just 78 of course.
I also liked the direct port nitrous option on the fast. I doubt I would go past 20psi ever. Is the ls2 a 90mm intake? Still have seen fast take around 20psi ,wonder why they put in those blow off valves think set for 32psi if they dont' take even take past 20psi.

So did you put the right bolts under it or not? Anyone else care to share there good or bad results with their fast intake.

"any way a contact thunderracing and they told me to change the bolts"

Sounds to me like the bolts where never changed, that will break it for sure.

11 psi on my FAST is just fine. I think something other than just pressure is causing the problem. The question on your LS6 intake results is how much power were you making? I kinda doubt that the intake was flowing THAT much better to result in a 2 psi drop, but it's possible...

I have read of many guys now by searching running up to 20psi no problem on their fast so would think wrong bolts were maybe the reason here. What does fast technical claim is ok for their intakes. Their blow off kits are like 32psi sounds too high if they break at only a bit past 20. Still not planning on every going past 20psi in my build so hopefully will be ok. Anyone successfully running past 20 with their fast intake?
