Default IAT sensor in air intake for meth injection

If I moved the IAT sensor to the back of the Air Intake, would it read any warmer than in the stock location (i.e. currently in MAF?).

This is for a meth injection app.

Thanks to anyone who can help.

For meth it needs to be after the maf and after the meth nozzle. I put mine where the egr port was in the intake manifold. Works great. Lets the ait pull timing if the meth fails.

won't the methanol corrode the sensor though? If not, I may move mine into the front of the intake manifold where the EVAP line used to be...

Yes, this is what I am attempting to do. When in the intake manifold and not spraying, is the IAT reading correct? In other words, doe it read a little higher temp than it would have if it were in the stock position??

Not enough to hurt anything.

After the air starts moving, it's accurate. If you put an aluminum intake on and sat running for 20 minutes...probably not.

My aits before and after the relocation were the same around town, etc.

that is great! did you use HPTuners to verify IATS before and after relocation?

EFI Live....and reset the timing tables for safety.

Mine is setup just past the methanol nozzle in the elbow (as shown in the pic). The actual IAT sensor sits back a bit so it doesn't get direct methanol mist on it, but it still reads the temperature accuratly. Even if the sensor eventually goes, its only a $10 part you can pick up at AutoZone. I'm guessing honestly it will take years of spraying the methanol before it actually corrods enough to do any damage.

but how will you know when it is damaged? Won't it just start reading differently a bit more on its way out? I guess visually inspecting it wouldn't be that big of a deal either though. I may just have to give it a shot

Yeah, taking it out to look at it only takes 30 seconds.
