How much boost???
i deciding on if i want to buy a crate motor or beef up my top-end and slap on a procharger. However, I'm buyin headers next yr and only want to buy them once, so i need to make sure i get the right ones, and the "right ones" depend on weither i decide to go with a crate or a SC.
the car currently has 83K miles on it, and some piston slap (tho not that bad).
i just want to kno so i dont get a different impression and end up over my head. I would want to do it RIGHT. And do it RIGHT the first time. Im not one to cut corners and half *** things.
so they are both the same amount (around)? In other words the "optional" and "required" items listed in that sticky apply to turbos and sc'ers?
i just want to make sure i have a clear idea what what is involved

Watch. I'll borrow your LS1 for a day. I will back the engine with a full guarantee, and I'll also guarantee you will see 100 psig. It will probably be slower than before, but what does that matter?

for the OP, about 600 RWHP seems to be the edge on the stock bottom end. Some make more with great success, some make less with disaterous results.
