I would go with the ATI D-1SC procharger, twin intercoolers, runs off of its own oil, I chose it over all the others, seems to be a little better quality...

The ATI D-1SC will be the best way to go with your upcoming mods. If your going to install the kit at the same time or after the head/cam upgrade be sure to mention those mods and the amount of boost that you'd like to see. The kit comes with a pulley that will made 8# on a stock motor.

I would do the D-1SC, the kit is very easy to install and works really well. I will tell you this if you have modifications to your engine it will not give 8#. I had a small cam and headers with corsa exhaust on one I just did and all I could get was 4.5# out of it. But a pulley change will get what we were looking for.
Thanks Darren

Zero, boost is a measurement of pressure at the intake. When you put things like H/C and/or headers on a car, you are flowing more air but at less pressure. Therefore, the boost measurement drops.
My car runs 8# on stock engine and makes 462rwhp. If I did something as simple as headers, I'd drop to around 6# of boost (using the exact same pulley I have today), but I'd be flowing more air and making more rwhp. That is assuming you retune, which would be necessary.
After asking this same "what supercharger should I go with" question back in 2002, I ended up with the D-1SC. I think it's a great kit...
