Why does my blower belt keep coming off?

I dont think this is possible but can the belt being too tight cause it to come off? I know it couldnt have been too loose. The first time it came off I figured since it was a new belt it came off after it stretched a little and I didnt tighten it up again. So I put it back on and cranked her down. Only made it into about 3 or 4psi and it came off this time. The first time I was at high boost for probably 10 seconds before it came off. So since it came off quicker when it was tighter the problem cant be from being too loose. Just hoping the crank pulley isnt on improperly cuz thats a biznitch to get off as you all know.

You guys know how the blower pulleys look different on each side? On one side the area around the bolt hole is raised up more than the other side. Wondering if I put it on backwards. The side that was more raised is facing the blower. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

Was there a torque spec for the ATI pulley?

They dont like you to change them yourself so I they dont give a TQ rating in the instructions. How does 50 ft. lbs. sound?

The size stamp faces the compressor.
Mine is moved all the way down until it stops.

make sure the pullies line up ,
the blower pully also has a small spacer ring that you must use.

Yesterday at about 6pm I was checkin to see if the pullies lined up and they looked like they lined up fine. Then I started the engine and looked again and the crank pulley was wobbling all over the place. The bolt had worked itself loose over probably 250 - 300 miles. I'll have to get it tightened with a impact gun like I did last time. There is only so much you can do with a two foot breaker bar. My original crank pulley never came loose after it was hit with the impact gun and I put about 2600 miles on that one. Thanks for the replies! Have a good weekend.
