Turbo Tech >>> GM 4L60e
Unfortunatly, I had to trailer it home.
I did get to make 3 1/2 passes though.
For the first three passes I ran off the wastegate at 9-10psi, at this boost level it dynoed about 630rwhp.
On the first pass, I left off idle and rolled out to a 1.928 60ft. LOL!
60ft 1.928
330ft 4.816
1/8th 7.143 @ 105.72mhp

1000ft 9.140
1/4 10.815 @ 134.89
On the second pass, I left abit harder, loaded up the converter abit.
60ft 1.695
330ft 4.532
1/8th 6.833 @ 106.53mph
1000ft 8.815
1/4 10.477 @ 135.97 mph
Left pretty much the same as the last pass.
60ft 1.738
330ft 4.510
1/8th 6.800 @ 107.25mph
1000ft 8.773
1/4 10.432 @ 135.91mph
Then on the next pass, I got kinda greedy... and upped the boost to 17psi (about 750 ish rwhp)
60ft 1.684
330ft
1/8th
MPH
1000ft
1/4
Right before the 60' the car attempted to perform the 1-2 shift... Thats all she wrote. I'll get it torn down in the next few days to see what popped, initial thought is input shaft to the trans.
Btw, this is with 17" ZR-1 wheels all the way around
17X9"s up front with 275/40/17s at 35 psi and 17X11"s out back with the new M&H Drag radials (325/45/17). I was really impressed with how the M&H Racemasters hook. Not that I was cutting amazing 60's but the fact that they held the power. When I am just foot braking it, the power comes on like a freight train about 70' out.I wish I knew how much the car weighs, I believe its about 3600 with me in it.

I bet a trans brake would really help my car get off the line abit quicker.
Depending on whats broke, the 4L60e might just go back in. My tranny guy says he'll build'em for free just to see what it'll take.

If they can fit it in a Supra then I am sure they can surely do it in an F-body. The local shop that is doing mine is charging $2300 for a built to the hilt 4L80E and when it is all said and done it will cost me around $6k for the custom install.. It is good to have peace of mind. Trending Topics
1-2 shift and it was done, engine just rev'd but the car wouldn't go anywhere
A TH400 is on the way now.
