i am really gonna run the kit as shipped with supplied turbo and parts i just wanna see the numbers and boost it makes. and of coarse how long it lasts. im not really worried if / when it breaks im going to swap the kit over to my other camaro and pos. change the flange to a t6 and go with a S80. so i will be the real "test mule" lol. also i noticed that a couple of you guys are turbo already i wanna know if you prefer hp tuners or efi live for forced induction?
thanks for all the helpful info- N2OJOE

yea im gonna start the mock up on a 6.0 lQ9 i have on the engine stand. then ill make a list of the pipes, bends, t-bolt clamps, silicone hoses, relocation parts and any little thing u might need to install this. i know one sure tool you will need and you can find it at a local liquor store
!!!! Also not only plan on taking quite a few days to get this all in properly, took me 5-6 full days an Im a mechanic, but I was making it perfect. Make sure you wrap it before hand and save yourself the hassle of doing it later take your time with the downpipe as it likes to hit the steering shaft if it even a little off. Make sure to wrap the 2 center pipes on the drivers side header really good as they tend to burn the spark plug wires also make sure you zip tie them up and use these spark plug boot protectors the reg ones are not that good these are good to 1800 continuous degrees http://www.hrpworld.com/index.cfm?fo...action=product . Personally i went with a set of taylor 409 10.4mm race wires, then used their thermal protective sleeving which is good to 1200 degrees continous and then the boots over them. Over protection maybe, but I am tired of changing plug wires. Burned through almost 2 sets of MSD wires.
Also plan on upgrading your cooling system as my car wanted to run quite a bit hotter so I had to get the temps down to a more comfortable level LT1 rad and 2 16in 2000+ cfm fans one pusher and one puller. The list keeps going make sure you take plenty of time to get the alt relocation in perfect and the belt alignment is good otherwise you'll drive yourself nuts trying to keep the belt on. True you take off the alt but the bracket with the idler has to go back on for the belt just an fyi for that too i didnt know that till i had the turbo in. Make sure you get a good turbo blanket as this will help keep temps down. Plan on some meth it will help on the hot days of summer.
Also almost forgot to mention you will want to make sure you remove the oil pan to do the turbo drain and take your time to do it as it will save you alot of headaches later. Dont believe the guys that say its easy to do in car for one its not easy you cant get a drill in there properly, and for two no matter what you do you WILL get shavings in the pan not worth destroying your motor just to save yourself a few hours worht of work. A smoking turbo is not cool and a poorly designed and executed oil drain is usually the culprit.
Good tune is worth its weight in gold so make sure you take your time with it. I use HP tuners 2 bar speed density and love the thing much nicer than trying to get the MAF to work with the boost. Well here are a few pics of my setup for ya.Just a note turbo blanket wasnt on and the pipes werent wrapped in the first pics and they were later rewrapped in fact I will be taking them out and redoing them even better here soon. Anything you want to ask just feel free HTH

does it look like there is anyway my kit may be slightly modded where it would fit, or does is it way to tight?
If this is a remake of another kit (pts maybe) then I'm sure they designed it to have a to4s cover fit.
