I don't run it at present time - but will come spring. BUT the shop's Mustang has run the Deer oil since day one. His tranny is a performance Ford tranny. It has a lot of street miles on it. NO PROBLEM.

The only place we can get it is at the local John Deer dealership or a couple of the local tractor stores. Doubt Wally-world or Km-apart carries it.

"Rossler told me to use Traveler Premium 10-20W. I can get you the part number off the bottle if you would like. It comes in either 1 or 2 gal containers at Tractor Supply.. i forget which one it is."

Same stuff I use at Tractor Supply....5 gallon buckets.

WE are going to try this in my dads 65 chevelle today. We are going to the track tonight to see if it tightens up his converter. HE has a 9.5" converter that was supposed to only stall to 4200 or so and it is seeing 5300 flash when driveing in 3rd and you hit the gas. I think if it helps titghten the converter he will pick up some mph and maybe not blow the tires at the line.

We were going to send this converter back to get it checked to see why it is looser then it is supposed to be but we are just going to try this for now.

Art carr said DO NOT RUN TRACTOR FLUID IN OUR TRANSMISSION but since the warrenty is up next week, we are going to try it anyways.

John Deere fluid that is.

Right now I have cheap Chevron Type F fluid that Hughes Performance recommends for my 4L80E, but I am going to switch to Redline Racing ATF (a synthetic Type F) on this next motor upgrade. No problems to date, and the fluid looks and smells new.

In my glide I'm running 3qts Case "hy-tran", 2 qts Pennzoil Dexron 3 synthetic, 1 qt Valvoline ATF+4 synthetic and 2 qts of Castrol Type F. It's my own secret blend (guess it's not so secret now). Log story....but it works.

Typically I run about 6 qts Case Hy-tran and 2 qts of synthetic Dexron 3.

I dont have a problem running it in my GTP. Sure its not as fast as a turbo'd LS1 car but HyGard holding up when nothing else would. My GTP has a bad PCS and it was slipping its *** off with Dex in it. I took a gamble and changed over to the Hygard and so far, its been holding up.

mine was about 230 after the 3 true street rounds at the shootout, thats about as high as i have seen it. i have one medium sized cooler under the car, no fan.

we caught some traffic on the way home where i stopped/go'd for about an hour and the temp leveled off at about 210. on inspection fluid still looks and smells delicious

i was footbraking that day also, valvoline dex3 in the 5 gallon bucket

Not claiming to be a "big boy", but I can tell you that I ran Royal Purple in my tranny for a full year of 10 sec racing & when my guy tore it apart to rebuild it the bands still had the silk screen writing on them! During drag racing the temps never go beyond 180, and in a 100 mile open road race they stayed below 200. (w/just a 24k B&M cooler, no fan) And I have had zero issues....
