Default What trans fluid are the big boys running

I ran B&M Trickshift with the blower and it was fine. Are most of the big power folks running the tractor stuff, type F, or Trickshift?

Just running normal auto ATF from Shell. 4 years without any problems (so far).

We have a shop Mustang, and couple of tranny builders suggesting an oil from John Deer.. suppose to be great.. I will be trying it out soon as the tranny needs its next oil change.

Mostly tractor oil here. Not sure if its better, but the trans guy wants it, so he gets it. It does seem slightly cheaper than ATF, for a benefit I can see!

Rossler told me not to run straight type F fluid, said i could mix it with dexron though. I just run trick shift in my Th400. may be overkill, but WTF.

Yea I read all 9 of those pages!!Good stuff.Looks like the stuff to get if you do the tractor stuff is High Gard John D or High Tran CASE.I guess it does make shifts firmer and holds heat well.Anyone know if it wears any different on the trans???

Regular old Dex in my TH350. 4-5 years pulling 133 - 146 in the quarter plus countless street miles with no issues.
