I have a 408 with a D1SC. Made 757 RWHP on a 3.85 pulley, 13-14 psi. Dart heads (ported), 3" true dual exhaust with long tubes, 3.73 rear end.

Mileage? Terrible, but I drive 99% in town and have a tendency to get into boost every so often.

My car weighs 3900 with me in it, made one very soft pass at 10.42@135. I didn't go WOT until late 2nd gear (though it would spin). Traction on the street is non-existent, and I run 325/50/15 MT DR's all the time. They break lose at 6-8 lbs of boost, which might take just over half throttle.

Some guys will tell you a D1 is too small for a 408, its not. An F1 will make more power, but the D1 will work just fine.

We have a Trans-Am with an SLP 402 in the project car section of my website, and with an ATI ProCharger D-1SC at 16 psi of boost, it is making 757 rwhp on my Mustang Chassis Dyno. Bob

I jsut picked up a 408 and will be putting my D1 on it. The guy before me said he had a 408 running ported LS6 heads and intake at first and made 630rwhp on only 7.5psi, it was a turbo but get the point. He also said when he upgraded to AFR heads he got about 18 miles per gallon, and said he got about 4-5 better with the LS6's. All depends on how you drive. He also said it was his daily driver and didn't change a thing with cooling and it never had a problem. I can't wait

8.2-1 comp
ET 225 heads
234/238 Cam
Carb intake

D1 at 14lbs made 760hp/725tq through a M-6.

This engine was built for twin turbo's but we used the old D1 instead.Compression should really be 9.5-1 for a D1 which should put it well past 800rwhp.

We really like ET heads for FI.

I have just a few hundred miles on mine, I don't DD it or anything. I could drive it every day if I wanted, the only bad thing is the mileage and I took out the A/C. Otherwise its totally streetable and tame.

When I made 757 RWHP it was through an A4, 12 bolt, and with big MT's on back. 93 octane, no meth.

I would be interested in your guys fuel setup also. I will be doing this setup with a 402 and the small afr's but Im hoping for at least 650-700 on a low boost.
Sorry I wasnt trying to steal a thread.

Big magnafuel pump, -8 lines, magnafuel regulator, aeromotive rails, 65 or 75 lb injectors (can't remember), sheet metal fuel cell from Behind Bars race cars.

I plan to put some spray on this at some point......
