Yea, its like he dropped off the face of the earth. I too would like to know if anyones put a whipple on a F-bod even if they did hack it up to do so. I called Whipple and they couldnt give me measurements of where the sandrail kit sits in relation to the motor. I may call again and see if they can at least give me an overall height measurement. With the 10 rib system, an extra pulley bolts to an aftermarket ATI balancer and the drive is dedicated to the supercharger only. I like that idea since you dont have to replace every pulley on the motor. You just retain your existing drive system for everything else. I wouldnt mind too much hacking the cowl but I dont want the bastard to sit on the tape deck!! LOL!

rjw's last post was Mar08. IIRC, in another thread someone said he had a problem with this build and had to stop or switch to something else.

Damn, someone needs to figure out a way to get a whipple on a Fbody. That would be the ultimate.

hack the whole cowl and put aftermarket hood on. No more wipers anymore. Might have to ditch the windshield also.

Judging from the pics on Whipples site, the back of the blower case ends between the #5 and #7 injector. I believe #5 sits right under the right wiper arm pivot. As tall as the 3.3 is, I'd say you'd have to cut the glass, even if you dropped the k member some. If they'd make a manifold that would move the supercharger 3" or so forward, it might leave the wiper pivot intact. No doubt the hood would still have the upper drive sticking through but personally, I'd be ok with the Mad Max look!

Figured I'd bump this from the dead
Friend of mine bought this car a few years ago

It's back up and going now with an afr headed 383 a big blower cam and a 3.4 Whipple now
Switched to an 8 rib overdrive pulley and a little pulley up top
Car sees 27+ lbs of boost

It's on straight c16 with methanol, with only 8.9:1 compression it's still hard to not get any knock with a hot pd blower and a bunch of boost

Car runs fairly good as it's set up, just hard to get it from blowing the tires away

The car was street tuned
Don't have any dyno numbers on it yet

It's only been done a few weeks, made a handful of pulls on the street and did some 1/8 no prep racing.
It seems a little quicker than my twin turbo gto at 730hp, but not really as fast as it should be.

The Magnuson cowl hood that was on it before doesn't clear the larger 3.4 case, been running if without a hood and iats are still sky high
