Because it's not readily available in alot of places yet or at all.
I would rather run 9:1 so I have capacity to run up to 15psig on pump octane

I’ve had a flex fuel truck for 7 years. I have NEVER seen E85 at any pump from Fl to Ok. Where do they have E85? Just Nebraska?

I run 9.8:1 compression with 10-12lbs boost and shitty 91 octane gas without any problems and over 10k hard street miles its all in the tune! I know I'm at only 17 deg timing max and a rich 10.7 afr....

I've had someone make 685rwhp through twin intercoolers LS 347ci 10:1, D1SC at 12psi.
That setup did get some detonation on pump fuel, IATs were fine though.
Was that on a built bottom end?

Do people think you could get away with 11:1 comp with a PD blower on E85 without too many problems?
