Default water-to-air leakage problem

Well, I'm about to say F-it and go with A/A....hopefully someone can help me..

I have the TTi Race Kit w/ W/A intercooling. I had some problems with the pump leaking about a week ago.

Placed a call with TTi, got a new pump sent to me, hooked it up, and, it's still leaking from the pump...no from the inlet/outlet hose connections, but, from the black plastic housing it looks like. I triple checked and made sure it wasn't leaking from the inlet/outlet hose connections.

damnit man!

I opened up the reservior and see that water is indeed making its way there...so, I'm not sure what it is. Do I have blockage in the hoses? There are no crimps.

Any ideas what to check out???

i had a little issue with these pumps a while back.. look up the manufacturer info.. i bought a rebuild kit for mine and it stopped leaking.. maybe fixes some manufacturers defect?

wouldnt hurt to pop it apart and seal it up with some rtv while you are in there.. i think its just an o ring thing.

OK, I'll purchase a rebuild kit for it. Might as well, these pumps don't last long. I downloaded the PDF instructions and maintenance document. I also contacted and sent pictures to TTi about where it's leaking and maybe they can provide additional input.

Thanks MM.

back flushed the system with water, and reattached the new pump. Still leaking....

MM was yours leaking around the plastic housing (where it bolts up to the electric motor) ? That's where mine is leaking from.

I'm sending the pump back and seeing if they can get me another one. Maybe it was just a bad pump to begin with.

Ugghhh this troubleshooting stuff...

mine is mounted vertical as well, with the Inlet/outlet ports on top, and the motor at the bottom.

You've had yours for a long time right? have you had to replace it before?

nope didn't have enough time to take it apart before I could send it back for a 2nd replacement.

If the 2nd replacement still does it, then I'll take it apart and check everything.

yeah it is kinda loud. Hmm, I'll have to try a toggle switch when I wire it back up. Just for the sake of longevity.
