Default Procharged LT1 383, what injectors?

My buddy just bought a 1995 Camaro z28 and it has the ATI procharger, 383 stroker with the FAST stand alone injection system. It currently has 42# injectors. To me that sounds really small for what he has but what do you all think? The car does not run like it should.

well he has the FAST on there so i would problly go with something he can grow into like a 75 or 85 lber. i would recommend he change out the 42s for at least a set of 60lb for what he has now though.

truns liek crap bc its got 42 in it when its supposed to be 24's....id put some stockers in it until you get it tuned you can tear up the motor by running too much gas and waching the oil off the rings...buy some 60's and install right before you dyno it...

You can run whatever FP you want. Now, if you are trying to adjust for the injectors based on how the stock pcm works... have the fuel pressure set at 43.5psi.

Since you are buying new injectors, consider going straight to 72# ones if you plan to run high boost. AFAIK, they are the largest hi-impedance ones available from a company I trust - Delphi via RCEngineering.

Not worth it. He has a FAST setup, so he can run low impedence injectors... they are cheaper $$ and will perform better.

Yea, with FAST no reason to stay high imp. Might as well put in some 84's or 96's. The price is the same. I think the 84's are about as big as you can go and still keep it lean at idle, but others seem to have luck going higher.
