Default New best MPH

Finally got the bugs out of the car. Wiring, plug wires, header gaskets leaking, head gaskets leaking, computer not loging, fouling plugs every ten minutes. Anyways you get the picture.

The car spun a little in the 60' 1.42
5.66@130.52
8.66 @163.7

I got the car to hook in the 60' but the track went away at the 660' scary! I got the car to 1.34 after that twice in a row but got loose half track. Not a bad night over all.

Which heads gaskets did you get to work?

Well I went with a different exhaust wheel on the turbos. I think it will be easier on the gaskets.. I'm using titan copper, oring- receiver groove. They were brand new gaskets and I didn't push a drop of water, time will tell. The boost was @ 19 lbs.

I thought that you used those before and didn't like them?

Thanks, first I don't think the 60' will get much better than a 1.30-1.32. The car made a little over 900 hp. A far as the gaskets go I don't have a choice at this point, unless I go with a new LSX block! I got the car working good off the line, now I need a little help with the weather (not being too cold) and I'll be ok. I would like the car to run a .50 before I put in away for winter.

No, I first thought I was, but I'm filling it with water and I don't have an expansion tank to back feed into the radiator. It's a one way shot now. When the engine heats up it spills out some in the over flow tank, maybe 3 or 4 ounces. When I was pushing water before the tank would fill up and then some. You were there when I pushed off my coolant hose from built up pressure in the expansion tank. If the track will hold it Sunday I will up the boost until I loose traction or push water. I'm curious to find out what the limit of the gaskets are, I hope the track is up to the task!

Andy, I was talking to Mike Brown about 'pushing water' and he has really come up with good ideas around that.

It's a 408 ci iron block, twin 72's , Speed Inc turbo cam, ET heads, stock intake, Speed Inc headers, air to air, 3425-3450 lbs, 165 lb injectors. That about sums it up. Speed Inc fabricated the kit. I like it, it works well. I just need a little time at the track and I'll get it working good, maybe this weekend?
