What type of turbo is everybody runnin...
Just as the title states Im doing research Trying to get some ideas. Im want/going to try to build a 650-700+rwhp single turbo 346 looking for some turbo options. I think Im going to have to go with a T70 or somthing along those lines. Just fishing for some ideas

master power t70 here as well and works surprisingly well for under 600rwhp range, havent seen what it does at higher than 8 psi but im sure as hell it rocks for being an inexpensive lil turbo. Either way im definitely jumping on the precision 76gts or Borg Warner S400 band wagon. From the numbers and performance ive seen, that seems to be where its at, good stuff!!! Might get the borg warner due to better price though, Hope this helps

I have used several of the TC76MPS Turbonetics units with great results. It is a true 76mm turbo in a compact package. Everyone who has done a Turbo on an LS1 F-Body knows these engine bays are tight.

For quick spool, and those power #'s, the TC76 is hands down the best for that size engine. If you plan to upgrade later to a larger CI engine then the ST74,ST76 or 76GTS are great units. Also the GT42-76 or GT45F-76 are awesome units as well. A stock S400 is cheap, but spools like crap if compared to the units mentioned. Its a 74mm unit with a turbine wheel larger then a GT47 and has a 1.32A/R. Its all relative......

You mean 3400 lbs Cutlass with a built SBC 406 with transbrake, big convertor and the turbo was done. That is all great for a full blown race car....hehe. 99% of the people on here and most boards are building street cars and the other units will outspool it by a long shot and get you those times as well. No reason to cut yourself short to save a few bucks and ultimately be unhappy and end up swapping everything out later down the road for more added costs.
