I am in the process of builing my 370ci for my shop car. I am gonna use 317 heads. Cheap and effective. I am not looking for more than 1000rwhp. No point in a street car. As for the turbo, I am going big this time around.
Lifting the heads is not a concern of mine right now. I will deal with that when I get there.

You really should at the very least sculpt the valve guide bosses, go a good valve job with 2.02/1.60 valves and get a proper back cut. That would help stabilze the flow alot and help make better power at lower boost. If you can find a fire sale set, all pro has the best $ FI heads for strength going. Much less prone to deflect and flex than a stock casting.
