A casting with a thicker deck will be able to take more cylinder pressure without lifting. I had about 30 passes on the car at 920 rwhp and when I pulled it apart it was leaking at the bottom of most cylinders. It did not cause any problems. Everyone making alot of power has pushed water at some point...just depends on how you decide to deal with it. Some race on them that way for awhile and switch them out right away. What kind of power are you wanting to make?

Those are the parts I used. Small valves they were patriots to start with a lilntouch upnwork and a new valve job.
40 less cubes and an S88 I made over both of your power goals. Now at that power I was even pushing water on the dyno. That same amount at the track lifted both heads and put water in three cylinders.
1130 is the most I've made at 26 psi. Its the lifting the heads part that gets to you on a stock casting. I'm going with the new 1" thick deck World Heads
