i woulda and probably shoulda paid somebody off to spray the damn track.. gimmie that 1.4 from last time and there's my 8.9

...what a great year for me though... awesome.

i have some amateur video of the 4 passes of today 9.10, 9.22, 9.05 and 9.15 but i'll have to get it to one of the rpm guys to process.

thanks again to those linked in the sig

Congrads!

Got me a new best at capitol yesturday also.....

60' ..... 1.28
1/8 ....5.77
mph ...119.6
1/4 ...9.05
mph ...149.5

Went to hit it harder and just blew the tires away the other 2 passes.

Should be fun at the EFA races next year

There is nothing like seeing a street car driven from Richmond to MD then lining up against a full fledged racecar (monster slicks, wheelie bar, parachute, 10 person pit crew, trailer, motor home, and full portable garage) and not only keep up but beat up on them as well.
Congratulations all the hard work finally has paid off.

On another note sorry the video is so bad guys but I think I was just as excited as David so it was hard to watch it though that little screen so…

more details ok..

no i do not have my lsx jacket yet... i would like to

the most boost i saw was 23, though the increase only fruited maybe 2mph and only half a tenth. i'd say things are pretty maxed out.

up at that boost i was targeting about 11.0 AFR and it put timing into the 13.0 range

i mixed 2 gallons of left over 115 from memphis in with 3 gallons of 104 unleaded along with 2-3 gallons of 93 in the tank from the trip up.

ya it was a fast grouping, the slowest car i raced was a 10.1. in the four passes i beat that guy and 2 other 9 second race cars; losing to that 7 second car first pass

the gaskets are leaking consitently now at high boost, but i made a blast at a more reasonable 15# on the way home and they were back to holding.. so thats good
in fact i may have just straight up hurt them on my first pass when i didnt turn my intercooler pump on. oopsie.

i don't really know many spots to drop weight... it was definitely over 3850 as ran
a fabricated rear would probably save some, the front half of the cage would offset that
if i switch to an lsx block in the future it would only get heavier
i'm open to suggestions

quiet storm; i'm happy to accept those pics please

427; yea i know its not official, but i feel pretty good about the cars capability sitting beside the car at a light one would not believe it would run an 11.0 much less a 10.0 much less a 9.0.. and if i told them 9.0 or 8.9 it wouldnt make a difference.. because at that point they are certain i am bulshitting them.

KP; not only did i keep the cape and crown but i wore it and took my king of the street trophy to 2 halloween parties

john; i would prefer to be in the 155+ mph club if thats allright with you

george, lee; i appreciate the opportunies to do well you guys made posibe.

longrange; set-up changes over the winter
there are some want to do's like lsx or fabricated rear... not likely
there are need to do's like refresh the engine and switch to a 3.08 gear that are more likely.. and if i pull the engine i will also likely bite the bullet to get the cage done.
i am also due for another set of back tires AND brakes lol
the good news is that i am out of the red on budget from the expensive beginning i had this year.

ATV; thanks same to you.. ya would be good side by side... hopefully next season

villain; ya good or bad the take off's were not exciting.. but the middle of first gear required what i consider excessive steering input

david is there no weight you can take out of that thing? you not even considering anything? you should at least do big and littles and see what shed do...

still its impressive, i wouldent expect it....id take that thing out and try to whoop on trailor cars and make money....that setup is just impressive...

it would be simple to just make more power if you could keep the gaskets on the motor....what will it run at 18-19 pounds?

Sorry to see the fel pros are still moving a little water, at 19psi I am moving a little now and starting to see some carbon between the head and block but one full season out of the GM MLS makes me happy. I am going to make a surge tank setup for next year and not worry about it any more. Once I'm off the throttle all the water moved out during a pass will go right back under pressure - I think

I cant see much on that little pic of the blue TA, but I'll pretty much be doing what a C5 does for a header/surge tank. It wont fix anything really, just something to keep me from draining the overflow and adding water every couple passes.
