Yeah, it's pretty much nonexistant lol. Second is pretty damn short too, It's pretty much all 3rd hence the bouncing off the limiter at the end of the 1/4. I'm hoping a th400 and new torque converter will help the combo out quite a bit.

do you have full specs on your setup, I think that we are going to be pretty close to the same setup. Except I am already running a 400 and I am on a couple smaller pulleys. I don't think that I am going to spin that high though but we will see. What cam were you running. But I already have a built block ready when this one Go's.
Great job and great times. I can not wait to see what you do next!

I'm with Kurt on this one. My block looked exactly like that after a rod let go and left through the oil pan at 150 mph. That was stock block with 20 lbs of boost and 8300 rpm's with stock oiling system (not smart).

Can i ask why were you spinning your motor that fast anyways?
I am looking to do a turbo also on a forged 347, and my limiter is going to be set at 7000, most likely less.

Life doesn't even begin until 7500. Honestly though to make a small motor work it needs to rev. You can still make tons of power but you're leaving something on the table if you limit yourself to 7k. Torque per unit time.

I wanted to go fast rather than be able to pull out tree stumps. lol

Just realized you weren't talking to me. I'll leave my reasoning anyway. 8300, yeah thats really high, I'm not sure how high I'll spin the new 408.
