New engine on the way, cant wait.
Wensday i dropped the car off to get a new motor after toasting the stock one at 8.5 psi at the track.
here are the specs on the motor:
forged 347, dished 8cc pistons
arp head studs
ls7lifters
ls2 oil pump
cometic mls gaskets
Ls2 heads
Patriot gold dual springs
224/228 581 588 114lsa
rpm stg V 4l60e tranny
9.48 to 1 compression
needless to say, im freaking stoked. vengence racing is doing the work so it should fly when its done.
any rec. on amount of boost i should run and hp figures (high 500 low 600s??)

With that nice blower cam I and 12 lbs of boost I would expect 650rwhp easy. Bump her up to 14 lbs and you should be at 700rwhp, but just need the fuel system and possibly 8 rib set-up to handle those boost levels.
I am stoked also as my ERIK KOENIG forged LS6 347, 9:5 to 1, is being completed as we speak, and will be seeing at first 12 lbs in my Z06, via my ECS D1SC blower, and with my ported TEA Stage II LS6 heads and comp blower cam 224/230, 114+2, .592 lift, and kick azz ECS complete fuel system and 8 rib ECS D1SC pulley set-up, i should be at 700rwhp all day long. If not, up to 14 to 15 lbs of boost we will go and then I should be making north of 725+rwhp!
Good luck to you bud and let's hope we both have some good success with our new blower motors (built FOR BOOST)!

well i dont think many of us will every be satified with how fast our cars are, kicks are just getting harder to find. 600hp should be fun for a while...
crew- thanks and good luck to you. im interested to see what kind of numbers you put down at 12 psi.

The new turbo engine I am building is gonna be a 347 aluminum LS1 engine. Smaller cubes Bigger turbo. I am leaning towards the ST80 right now. SHould be fun.
Its gonna be awhile before that one is ready. I am gonna play with a NA cam only setup for a little while until I get everything cought up at the shop.

I would say this man speaks from a lot of 9 second pass experience (and a few 8 second one to) on a D1SC powered forged 347, and I agree 1000% (more than enough power can be had out of a lil old BLOWN 347 LS motor) and KP is living proof!

yeah, 9's aint bad for a little 347
kp, if you got any tips, let me know. youve taken your 346 d1sc faster that i thought was reasonably possible.
any estimates on trap speed? personal best was 121 so some very rough math, 10rwhp=1mph so 130rwhp+ = 134 trap?? id be happy with 130 trap

Only tip I have is make sure you have a good fuel system, nothing will spoil the party quicker than running out of fuel
