We just recently got it running. Right now we are just tuning driveability beacuse thats what takes the most time. Once we are happy with it we will get her on the dyno, should be some time next week. I will keep everyone updated on the numbers if thats ok with Jared.

No worries on the spool time here. Even with the exhaust cold this thing gets right up on the two step. It make a couple pounds of boost at 3000 rpm. We need to get a GT5591 on this thing and make some stupid power, as I am sure we will max this turbo out real soon

I've seen a GT-5591 in person and to see one in the rear of an F-body would be SICK haha, it's HUGE!!

Hahaha... yea Steve.. you and I have talked about that before. The "typical" link points are all blocked by turbo and piping... Maybe just some travel limiters up front may help keep her from lifting too much..

PS: I sent you a PM..

good to se it all coming together longrange4u. be nice to see how fast the thing spools up. if you have problems might be worht going for one f the FI-X units but a smaller one. supposed to be real monsters!

thaks chris.

PS are you running 2 boost pipe to the front? is this just for clearance?

I tooke her out for a spin this weekend to get some part throttle tuning done. She drives great. I don't know how so many people are having spool up issues with the rear mount set ups. This thing makes boost VERY fast. I think it needs a bigger turbo.

Hahaha... thanks Josh!! That is good to hear. Lets see what we can do with that PT88 first then we can look to go bigger. Do you think we could fit a bigger turbo in the back and still maintain the clearance and drivability?

Chuntington: Yea we are running side by side cold side piping... the single STS 2 1/4" pipe was insufficent for the required flow of the 88 without significantly increasing the temp due to pressure... it also dosnt allow for expansion. With the dual cold side that Josh set up to the 1400RWHP A2A Intercooler we have plenty of room to expand to anything we can fit in the back...

why not ovalized pipe? By running two pipes, you are doubling your surface area which increases friction. Vs. a single 3" pipe which will outflow and have less friction. check our drgas.com for ovalized pipe because i know ground clearance is an issue.

I dont think you relize how HEAVY that would be. Also the steel pipe will hold alot more heat than the aluminum that we used. I really don't think that this setup is to the point of becoming ineficient due to "friction of air flowing through tubing. lol
