I wanted to head out tomorrow with the ORYP but the weather was crappy today and kept me from swapping it out, damn not having a garage big enough to work in. Oh well

Thanks yous guys, man I wish I could go down to a lower altitude to see what she really does. I am still on the stock 10 bolt, stock tranny and stock block/internals with stock heads. This car continues to freak me out all the time.
Smokin its a TNT Dry shot. 2 tenths off a 35 shot spraying 2nd and 3rd gear only. I will have to get it to the dyno to check the A/F with the N2O. I want to spray up to a 75 shot with this block. I sprayed it out of the hole on one pass and went 11.8@120, the tires spun bad off the launch.

sscam68 Nope, Sean is the fastest for now, He did go 11.3 @ 121, but I'm all over that Wednesday. My car is VERY consistent, last wednesday, I went 11.63, 11.64, 11.58 with one 11.8 @ 120(sprayed out of the hole) These runs were with the cats on so that was killing some power, that is fixed now. So we will see what she has left in her 66000mi engine My old best was 11.76 @ 117 with the cats off so that will give you an idea of how bad having the cats are.

sscam68 11.2? I wish, 11.2s will be this coming wednesday. I just swapped the ORYP back on to the car, no more cats and I will be running a 50hp shot this time around. So lower 11's should be in reach. But its 11.5 for now, Thanks BTW Firedrake? What does he run? I haven't heard of newmexicoracing only nmautoscene, which I don't frequent much all at, just spend most of my time here. Have we met at the track? If not come out wednesday, its always cool to hangout with fellow F-body dudes.

Hey frcefed98 you must have a magical motor if youve got 66,000 with blower on the stock 10 bolt and engine. Is that the stock trans too? This is a side question but Ed Wright Tuning is mail order right? Does he have a website?

 

maddboost yo, yep pretty magical sounds like you are a doubter? But what can I do, I don't have a reason to lie. I can't help that it has stayed together as long as it has. I don't beat it every chance I get, really I drive like a grandma. My car is damn fast, this I know so I don't need to prove it by driving like a freakin moron everywhere. I take care of it. Oil changed every 3000mi(mobile one 5W-30) I have a great tune by Ed Wright, tuning is the key to making the engine last long. I do have a 348 low compression(9.1-1) LS6 being built now, so numbers for that one will be posted for that one soon. Yep you are also right about the tranny - stock -, no shift kit, just a vig 3800 no tranny cooler either, I know I must be lying about that too. I take care of that too, filter and oil changes every 10000mi, B&M Trick Shift fluid only. Sorry if I sound a little mad, I hate when people doubt my car, it has been FI'ed since the clock turned 22000mi with a 6psi non intercooled PD kit. Then about 8000mi ago the ATI went on, power went up. EVERYTHING that has been done to it is listed in the sig. A few people will vouch for my cars authenticity on this board. Look at my times my car is running mid 11's with N2O(35hp small shot) so that should clue you in to the power its making up here at this altitude, pathetic for a blown LS1 don't you think? I do. 428rwhp(ATI only) not corrected. An LS1 will live forever at this power level, I am barely up to the 4L60E power threshold, the stock rear, well I can't explain that one, I have toasted a badly set up set of 3.73s though if that makes you feel better. Stock heads, stock internals, LS6 intake, B1 cam, TI retainers and comp springs and pushrods. Nothing amazing. Do you need pics of the tranny, 10 bolt rear, engine, heads? Let me know.

did my brothers 95 formula, my buddy neal(PNYKILR) and my tuning for us, no complaints out of any of us. My shift points are a little wacky but nothing I would complain about my a/f stays dead level at 11.7-1 all the way to 6800rpm, then goes up to 12.1. The car shifts at 6100, so I am really safe with the tune. I also run 4 gal of 104 VP unleaded everytime I hit the track as some insurance against detonation. I really hope I read your post the wrong way, I just want to show off my car which I am damn proud of and help anybody following the same path as us FI guys with any advice that I can offer.

Well sorry if I offended you I really was amazed by the fact your motor, trans, and rear end have held up. Not calling you a liar I was just in awe of it. Reason being I was planning on getting a procharger on my 98 but ive got 70,000 miles on it and cant really afford a new rear end, trans, and motor. Just wondering what your secret was.
