Default Vic Jr question for EPP

Hey guys, I got my Vic Jr back from the polishing shop Friday. So I spent the weekend watching F-ball & tinkering with it making gaskets, going thru the fuel system parts, putting things together and when I got to this point (see below) it dawned on me that I don't have anyway to hook up the throttle linkage.

Do I need to make my own mounting bracket, or do you sell one & I forgot to ask?

Happy New Year!
Mark

That looks nice Mark!

We ended up using one of the brackets that came with it due to time constraints.

I really would have liked to use a better setup, ie custom bracket.

Mark what I did was use the factory bracket I mounted every thing on the car placed the cable on the TB and located the bracket where everything looked right and opened the thottle blade 100% etc... Center punched the sheet metal 90 and drilled holes and taped them installed two bolts and then put Hot nuts on the back side so that the wouldn't come off in the intake etc... Looked real good functioned perfectly. Good luck on what ever you decide to do. Looks good so far.

Thanks Jake. So I take it I have a bag of parts with a bracket in it that came with the intake that I've hidden from myself? I'll look....

I will post a pic of mine. I got rid of the factory crap and got a lokar throttle cable and used one of the brackets that was sent. FYI you can fit better rails on there also. I am using Fast 1/2 rails on my intake.

Had that when I first had it on the car and looked like **** so I did just about what stevie did, except the stock location and TB was stock direction etc...Not saying you couldn't make it look better, but just giving you a heads up as this cleaned up the look made it easier to access anything in the area such as my Map sensor and other vacum hoses that I had to hook or disconnect. I am aware you can take it off to get to them just didn't like having to take it off and on for small stuff etc much happier with the new way I did it, and if you are worried about the restriction it is non existent on a FI vehicle, but what every you do I am sure will look fine as what you have done so far looks good!

The more I look at stevies setup, the better I like it. Although I can't say I'm excited about drilling holes in my elbow, putting a big ugly bracket on my pretty intake/elbow seems a little dumb. And like you said, it's out of the way of the vacuum lines etc. Plus someone else told me they mounted theirs lower & then couldn't get the TB to go 100% WOT & that does put the bracket above the TB where it needs to be.

I really didnt want to drill holes either. But I also wanted my throttle to work properly.

Bolting it to the side was free, and functional.

I hear you on everything LOL!, but you could get the braket chrome plated and also cut off the cruise control side of the bracket to make it smaller also, just a couple of ideas that might help if you decide to do it that way etc... GL!

i would have the stock bracket cut to just what u need then mounted to the elbow with a tig welded bung.

also how about sanding down the throttle bracket and powercoating it

And now I can't find the OEM bracket. I must have left it on the FAST intake when I sold it. What a moron!

But chroming or powder coating that & welding it to the elbow might just be the ticket.
