I only had the three you have holding mine on. When I uninstalled it, one of the bolts was broken. When I put it back on, I will see if I can add more support. I was running about 14psi and would like to go up to about 20psi. If you stay under 10psi I bet it would hold just fine but once you start hitting more boost you have to keep that belt nice and tight which adds to the stress on those bolts holding the pulley. Just mho.

For a proper install of the Hub to balancer, the balancer its self will need drilled out, as well as the hub. The reason for drilling is the balancer is no longer drilled from ATI. We have drilled every balancer with no issues.

Not trying to be a smart *** here but I would like some clarification.

balancer= harmonic damper?

You're referring to the hub and "balancer" as seperate pieces do you mean breaking the ATI piece apart for this? OR are you referrign to he supercharger drive pulley and the ATI damper assembly?

Seems like there is a regional split on what some parts get called and this confuses me at times.

Its fine, id rather us be on the same page then somewhere else.

The outer ring = balancer

Hub = piece bolted onto balancer that slides onto crank snout.

Any update Jake? And why does the damper itself clearly say not to drill as it's zero balanced? I'm a similiar situation and if I can do 6 vs 3 bolts I will.

How hard is it to seperate the front piece and back piece of the damper? Thanks!

The balancer is a bolt together piece. If it was not drill able, then i wonder why they just quit drilling it? I believe they offer to drill it for something like $40 or so if you send it in.

I have yet to see a single balancer failure due to this, no odd vibrations , just nothing.

The three bolts thread all the way through to the A/C pulley on the back are you saying doing this is a problem? The other 6-T45's or what ever size I can't remember for sure just hold the outer ring to the hub. The balancer comes with the smaller 3 bolts so I replaced them with the 3/8 bolts that are for the S/C pulley so I just rotated the A/C pulley around to thread the bolts all the way through outer ring and the A/C pulley. Is there a problem with this is that what you are saying?

The 6 pan bolts are required to hold the shell onto the hub. you will be rotating the AC mounting to the new holes and have the bolts go through them. The old holes are tapped out to 3/8s for the new ATI bolts.

Thank you Jake for the pics but it looks like my ATI pully is different because it only hase 3 holes. it also looks like my balancer has been drilled but i dont think that i need it because from the looks of the pic you only need the 3 extra holes because the ati pully has 6 but my pully only has 3

Where/when did you buy this?

The current ati procharger pulley is shown in my pictures.

If so, you need to either ditch the AC or figure out a reliable way to mount it.
