Default Engine Setup Choice????

I know this isn't the perfect forum to post this in, but I cannot decide between two engine choices for my 95 TA. My 93 TA is more then likely sold so I have quite a bit of disposable income to drop on the engine for my car...

Now this car is mainly a street/show car, but I want to be able to race it if the mood strikes. I cannot run a rim smaller than 19" because of the size of my brakes, so it will never be a serious racer (drag tires). The engine choice will also carry a differing tranny choice with it.

Option 1) 600 RWHP
-440ci LS7 with PRC CNC ported heads 11.5-12 to 1 CR
-Wicked Cam
-Using the New Kinsler Cross Ram ITB Intake
https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...431&highlight=
-Built T56 6-speed tranny

Option 2) 800+ RWHP
-402 or 427ci with PRC CNC ported heads 9-9.5 to 1 CR
-Blower Cam
-Kenne Bell 2.8L blower with 8 rib setup running about 15psi
-Built full manual shift 4L80E

Option 2 is about 2-3K more, but a lot more HP
I am truly torn between the two...

better reconsider things if you think option 2 is 2-3 k more. It's going to be more of difference than that.

I don't know if you're going to be able to fit a kenne bell on that thing. I would go TT if you're looking for the showcar aspect.

Just for the engines it is about $2.5k difference in price, mainly coming from the difference in blocks. For the N/A I would use a LS7 block, with the KB it would most likely be the Warhawk. I have done A LOT of price researching to find out all the costs involved, and I have a very complete excel spreadsheet of each engine build. The KB Warhawk 427 is $22k for EVERYTHING (Headers, 8-rib accessory drive, 2.8L KB unit, injectors, coils, EVERYTHING).

The Kinsler 440 has all the same parts but $1,500 less on the block and $1000 less for the intake setup.

having a big hp supercharged combo is my vote, it also will draw more attention to your car when your at the show, Im kind of biased though seeing as FI is my usual hangout.

Damn thats a hard choice, both would be sweet. I told myself if I ever do another build after my current one, in sig, that I'd go with a crazy N/A setup. Its hard to beat FI but what you listed would be bad *** too. With both you'll be roasting of whatever tires you have. I agree on a nice custom twin turbo setup, especially for a show car. That would be really bad ***. If money was no option I definetly go warhawk with all the best and some bad *** twin turbo's

I really like the n/a set-up more due to the fact of the carbon/fibre intake-it looks like a wild peice of gear

my 2 cents-

also why supercharge and not turbo-even though theirs nothing wrong with blowers-just want to know-

Thanks

either will be nasty, but if you can have the work done to try and fit the KB on an f-body i say that would be the way to go! KB's sound absolutely incredible at WOT
