LQ9 iron heads? Big boost and no head lifting?
I think I remember hearing about iron heads on the early 6.0 motors? Im not nuts right? Just wondering if there is a good flowing iron head with big boost if it may be a better option then an aluminum head that will lift and leak coolant.
I've been thinking about adding a nitrous shot to my D1SC 370 Iron blocked setup, but head it seems ill have issues with the heads lifting with big boos alone let alone with spray. Would the iron head be a good cheap upgrade?

Thats weird the heads lift at the same levels the aluminum did. Makes me think its some other sort fo problem. Id imagine the iron heads would be much more resistant to lifting. Are the head bolts just stretching?

He said that it was a while ago when 740 was big numbers, so my guess is that the rod bolts werent that advanced... ex. new ARP L76 bolts and the other one... that corrodes... (cant remember name)

Yeah try again, Head studs have been around for a while and if you're lifting a stock casting at 740rwhp it is most likely in the tune. The studs you're referring to that are subject to fatigue when in contact with moisture are L19's.
