Theres not really a deadline. The car will be done before the first track day we want to make. We could probably make another kit before the date we want the car running.

The pisser is we have had it all together. and now we had some problems..

Belt was an issue but we got it figured out. For anyone wondering if you have smokinhawks alt bracket, a thunder racing tensioner, and a march under driver pulley you need a 71 inch belt, or 710k6.

The other thing that sucks is we(I)broke a grade 8 bolt in 1 of the exhuast manifolds. Not the end of the world, but it all has to come back apart and get it out....

My starter had to be replaced, and the worst is my feed fitting for the turbo that i got from garret is all stripped out. We never even tried to put it in, and i never looked @ it, cause i never needed it till today.

There was other stupid crap that went wrong, but we got some stuff done.
Getting whats left of the bolt out of the manifold will be fun, but i dont want an exhuast leak there.

ummmm.. We rewired everything and that all looks great. New 4 gauge to starter, and grounds, and to the main relay panel. Got new wire to the alt, and got the connector all wired up. Got the ngk tr6's in, and the percy's seal 4 good gaskets.

I will get more pics up tonight.

It wasn't...

We moved it up there for the maifold on the drivers side to come forward where it used to be. The a/c was all taken out to, the pass manifold comes forward there.

The car did start! and run! we have a video, but we wont have the software disc for the camcorder, so we cant get the video onto a computer till we get that disk. Will try and get it up asap!

Ok, so the New canon camcorder that we were using to get video of the car startup works great.... Except for the fact that you need a 4 pin to 4 pin firewire cable to get video off of it, you cannot do it in usb, but it comes with a usb cable. Stupid camcorder.

I want to get a video up asap. I will post it up as soon as i can. Chris

Wow, nice build. I tried to read most of it, but I may have missed it, are you running all stock internals? Or is your car setup for some nice boost??

Good job guys, it looks great so far. I am installing an off-shelf turbo kit and bitching about it, can't imagine making the whole thing from scratch - that's just awesome.

One of the first things we did was extend all the wires that run by the radiator.

Then we put it al back together.

The car started for the first time about 1 am on 3-16-06.
Sunday morning we drove it out of the garage onto the driveway and tooks somemore pictures.

And lastly this is where we work on the car @

I will get the startup vids up as soon as possible.

I feel like owen wilson in zoolander(great movie) anyways, i wanted to throw the camcorder at the wall and see if a video comes out.

The sad thing is i am a computer guy.... Its not that i dont know how to get the video up, its that i dont have the stuff i need to do it. Stupid brand new camcorder and doesn't come with a cable to upload it to you computer!

I was going to go buy 1 tonight, but i can get it for 10 bucks if i wait till tomorrow, or 35 tonight. Ill just wait, I threw up more pics for you though!

Believe it or not. We have spent 14 days working on the car. maybe 5-8 hours each time. Some way shorter. And out of all those 14 days, there was only 1 day that i wanted to push the car into the river.

This weekend happened to be a great one, and the startup made all the hard times worth it. Now i just cant wait to drive it. Maybe 2 -3 more weekends to get it on the streets!

Yep if you don't mind losing the AC and moving a few things around, it really isn't time consuming to do a truck manifold set up.

We still have to finish the exhuast, right now its open dp dumped @ the k member. It sounds good. I will prolly put a vband up there, and pull the exhuast when i go to the track or something...

Reject, im using a 4 inch dynomax bullit from summit. Only one thats not hundreds of dollars, and i really dont care how loud the car is.
