Default Speed Inc. procharger F1A results 800rwhp

In the past we have installed quite a few procharger head units, even our shop car pushed the limits of a D1SC. Lately we have been further focused on turbo builds as we have customers looking for us to give them 1,000hp while utilizing factory accessories.

Today INTMD8 (Jim) finished tuning on one of our long time customer cars, initially the car was brought to us for a 347 shortblock and D1SC, later on the rotating assembly from the 347 was remachined, balanced, and a new set of Diamond pistons/total seal AP rings into a GMPP LSX block. The displacement remaining at 370ci. Still with the OE ATI intercoolers and induction hat power was at 660rwhp with 11psi.

We've since taken this car to another level adding a Bell custom 4.5" Front mounted intercooler, Procharger F1A head unit and SD concepts tensioner.

800rwhp/694rwtq

Camshaft: Speed Inc. 224/232 .581/.595 114º blower cam
Cylinder heads: AFR 225
Static compression: 8.8:1
Boost peaks at 19psi
kooks LTs/corsa catback

I think you need a bigger intercooler. Very nice numbers!

Pump Gas? Still using the factory blower hat? Any alky injection?

Race fuel no alky

made our own induction, i'll post pics of it tomorrow

over 600rwhp you might as well forget about that ATI hat, made back to back pulls with stock ATI induction 630rwhp, removed the induction entirely 790rwhp lifting at 5500rpm. 800rwhp running out to 6500rpm with a proper induction and air filter; couldn't ask for more.

The ATI hat we could only make 12psi with...... No induction it made 16psi at 5500rpm.

You guys always have great results! Have you guys ever had problems with FAST manifolds with that high of boost or do you use something to seal them?

Why the race gas?

I'm curious what mine will do now that I've made a new inlet. I'm hoping to make 760-780 on pump gas. Thats on my D1SC, BTW.

Nice install, you should try the inlet hat with a larger air filter, or go to the truck inlet hat like we use. We get 18+ boost with this combination. Bob

19psi and 800rwhp is a bit much for 93 octane, especially on a 347. Margin of safety is worth $4/gallon.

that looks sweet, and the results speak for themselves.

IF you dont mind me asking, what is the price tag on a setup like that?

19 psi? Holy crap, I missed that part!

I'm honestly not trying to start anything here, Speed Inc does awesome work and their work speaks for itself, but I'm making 750 or so on a D1SC at 14 psi on pump gas. I'm on a 3.85" pulley, so I could add some octane and a smaller pulley and be around 800 I'm sure. I thought the F1A was worth alot more power over a D1? I mean, if I upgraded from a D1 to an F1A on my car at 19 psi I'd expect 900+ RWHP.

Again, not trying to say my car is better, or my builder is better, just curious is all. Maybe they made these numbers through a TH400 or something, which eats some power. I'm on a 4L60E, FWIW. If I put a TH400 in I'd expect to lose 75-100 RWHP.

I think he said it was 370.

How much is that truck inlet assembly? It looks nice, ATI should make it an option. I made my own out of 4" pipe and silicone couplers, it is a monster compared to the stock ATI hat. I wonder how much power it will gain me? I made 757 with the stock hat at 14 psi, so if other members experience proves correct I would see a couple psi gain and maybe what, xx HP?

This car is M6

The engines built little different, few areas are unconventional with the pistons, its at 8.8:1 compression. I'm sure with more compression theirs few hp there. This customer was looking for reliability and high boost.

Bear in mind numbers are though a 3" corsa catback.

I'd love to see you put a F1A on your car @ #19, make over 900, and have it live ON THE STREET. Its not going to happen. He sacrificed a lot of power to make it run safely on the street.

This is no race car and has a small cam, lower then norm comp., A/C, 17" wheels etc. The car was built to make good power with killer reliability.

also note this car has 4 mufflers by customers choice to help with noise

2 burns
1 Borla
& then the standard Corsa

I am confident the car would see big gains without the restrictive exhaust.

Thats pretty impressive boost/power for the setup IMO. What do you guys seen the F1A usually maxing out at vs the D1SC boost wise?
