Default Turbo Blankets...question.

with the limited space on the APS kit im thinkin of purchasing some turbo blankets to make sure they dont roast my knock sensors (402). anyone know where i could get some at a relatively inexpensive price and what size for the APS turbos??
last question...are they worth it??

One of our sponsors, ForcedInductions.com supplies them. I am not sure if they will fit the turbos on the APS kit though. I would imagine they would. They are not cheap either. Something like 100 to 150 bucks each give or take.

They do make cheaper ones that Jegs and Summit carries, but they don't last very long. A couple of the members here have tried the cheaper ones but they didn't last long at all.

Good luck,
Glenn

Give Jose a call at Forced Inductions... I have their T4 blanket and it works great. Excellant quality too.

I have this blanket as well. I was melting my radiator fan shroud before. No problems after installing the blanket.

Smallest we make is the T4 version, BUT you can just wrap the entire turbine housing with the T4 version and secure it. Will make a big difference and our blankets are rated for extreme heat.

If we got a solid list up I could possibly talk to them to see if they would do a GP.

still sell one for a 1.32 t-6 Jose? Can it be cut any? The OFI kit puts the turbine housing right by the balancer so i would need to cut a small hole where its close

I would like to have one for a PT88, if there is a group purchase.
