I just installed mine and was wanting to go 100% since i'm only using it for intake temp reduction and safety margin so i figured the 100% meth would cool the charge quicker since it boils lower than water.

Alky control unit and 100% meth works for me and 3 of my buddies. We split a 55gal drum. Cheaper that way.

Put it this way, if mixing water with your meth was so much better, why dont any of the pro's that run 100% methanol mix water in? Because it doesnt work for ****. The only thing it does is stretch your meth out if your a cheap ***. I tried it a couple times and always ran a higher trap speed and more timing with the 100%. Sometimes as much as 4mph higher. This was a Alkycontrol kit running 2 M10 nozzles pretty much wide open, so it wasnt some other variable, it was almost 50% of my fuel.

just a heads up... they sell -30* and -40* ww fluids that are closer to
49% methy and 50% water and 1% color ( i like the pink -30* as it looks like cam2)
i use ww fluid if i'm in a pinch, and dont feel like driving the 20mins to my tuners shop
for 100% meth, which i will still mix 50-50.
i run 23*(stock ls2) of timing @ 5psi.. and no knock, with ait's dropping 40* when in boost, and my meth/h20 kicks in.

How has using M3 worked for you or anyone else? Does it smell up your trunk if your running a trunk mount meth kit like the AIS?

It has almost no smell at all, kinda like very faint rubbing alcohol.

Be careful as the colder rated WWF a lot of the time also contain glycol (anti-freeze).

Why put that mess in your motor anyway; it's not like meth is expensive, and you give away the best part of it when you cut it down.

I use -20* wwf cuz it's easy for me to get. I can go down the street to my local Pamida and buy it for less the $2 a gallon. It does what I need it to, as my truck is my DD too. And I live in a small town in BFE and meth, (well the kind the truck uses, ) is harder to come by. And I use the WWF reservoir for my meth injection, so it kills 2 birds with one stone and has a built in warning light . That's why I use it.

I usually do put strait meth in it in the summer when I go to the track though...

alky control kit with 100 %meth it the way to go and a nice retune crank the timing and leaning out the injectors = fun power

How many of you tune your car after you install the meth kits

The key has already been posted "EPDM seals and valves"...this is what the pump needs internally to run straight meth.....the vitons will not last, at least mine didn't. Snow says what they say about 50/50 for safety reasons.
I personally run a little bit of water, about 10% and haven't noticed a loss in power, at the track and on the dyno. I think to get the benefits of 50/50 you have to run more timing. So that's why I stick with straight meth or a slight mix and run lower timing but more boost.....to me this is the safer way to go.

Hi, Never even thought of windshield washer fluid to suggest to my son. Interesting post. He bought a 55 gallon drum, less expensive that way. Of the methonol & runs it straight, no water added. He did get a few jets with the kit, started out with what was recomended. A smaller jet. Went to a size larger one. Just guessing here. If methonol is required and your using washer fluid. Is anyone being penny wise & pound foolish. Or penny wise & being pound foolish? Shure would hate to repair an engine on saving a few bucks where you skimped. Dave
